I gripped the water bottle harder as I ran around the neighborhood feeling the cold win blast in my face, I wasn't even cold, maybe because of the fact that I was sweating and my body was warming up to the cold, I didn't mind it at all. What I did mind was one of the neighbors, a girl may I say, looking at me up and down and giving me the dirtiest look ever before retrieving back inside her house. Who is she?
I drank some water before running to the back of the house. Demi and her parents weren't there. They said they were going to buy fireworks for New Years, that's why I went on a run because I was bored and Demi wasn't there to keep me company.
I entered the house through the backdoor slowly closing it trying not to make noise before going to the kitchen and grabbing another water bottle.
"Hello mamasita" I jumped a little being started by the unexpected voice
"Sorry I scared you. Where were you?" Marissa said walking around the counter and standing int not of me
"I went out to run" I took a big gulp of water before putting the cap on and setting it on the counter
"On this weather?! You are a crazy women," she said "You should take Demi running I'll beat she'll be motivated just by seeing you run" she kinked an eyebrow before smirking lightly
"I don't know.... maybe...only if she wants too"
"Oh she will run once she sees those hard rocking abs" she slapped my stomach which was covered by a muscle shirt.
"Um..thanks I guess?" She shook her head chuckling lightly
"You're welcome. By the way, I need to thank you, Demi seems so happy when she's around you, her mood changes, she can be mad and once you show up Bam! She's happy again. So thank you for making my best friend happy." She continued talking "I just couldn't help but notice something when you two where here on Christmas...its unbelievable"
I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at her "What's that?"
"Nothing, nothing. I'll see you later Naya" I looked straight ahead as she walked away, I am so confused.
I went to Demi's room opening the door to be greeted by a puppy roaming around my feet. We haven't decided a name for him, I on the other hand wanted to call him Ash because hello! He's white, grey, and black, it only makes sense. Demi on the other hand wanted to call him Buddy, like what kind of simple name is that? Ash is more powerful...plus it's from Pokemon.
"Hi Ash how you doing?" I kneeled down and petted the top of its head
"I'm going to take a shower. Don't pee on the floor...or anywhere in that matter. Okay?" I looked at him, he only tilted his head a little and sat
"I will take that as maybe" I closed the door shut and started to take my clothes. I showed quickly and got out fast. I saw Ash on top of the bed sleeping, he looked so cute right now I just wanted to go cuddle with him. But I couldn't because that'll risk him waking up and I can't let that happen. There was a light knock on the door breaking me out of my thoughts
"Hi Naya I just wanted to come and say that You suck gorilla balls!" I squinted at Maddie and started running after her, I chased her around the house before we ended up in the living room
"I got you now little girl" I smirked and grabbed Maddie into a tight hug, making her giggle
"I hate your hugs" She said,
I could tell she was joking.
"Well you better get use to them because you'll be seeing a lot of me in the future and I will hug you Everytime I see you"
"I hope you stay with Demi" I smiled and released her from the hug
"I'll try my best little one" I teased her making her cross her arms. We then heard the door open and people starting to chat
"We need help!" I heard Diannas voice
"I'm sleeping mother Dianna" Marissa said from one of the rooms
"Lazy ass" Dallas said under her breath. I went outside and saw Demi trying to carry a box of fireworks from the trunk
"Dems you can't carry all of this" I chuckled
"I could but since you're here then here ya go" she put the box in my hands making me groan
"This wasn't part of the plan!" I looked at Demi's backside as she went inside
"What plan!?" I rolled my eyes and started carrying the box inside.
We set all the fireworks in the kitchen counters and even some on the floor, they bought a lot of fireworks.
"Why so many fireworks mom?"
"Well this year our neighbors are going to be spending New Years with us. Isn't that great?!" I heard Demi and Marissa groan, if she was talking about the same girl that lived in the house a couple of house away that gave me a look then what the fuck. I followed Demi to the living room.
"Why the face?" I asked Demi
"Don't really like our neighbors," she said "Especially Ruby" Talking about that name, she never told me who she was on
"Who's that?"
"This girl who made middle school and partly High school a living hell. I never told my parents about her so they don't know she was part of the reason for my issues. She was here on Christmas Eve, didn't you see her?" I shook my head
"My attention was kinda focused on you the whole time" I told her truthfully making her blush
"Well yeah she was here, and she's coming for New Years, literally before you came she was making things awkward for me and Marissa, she just kept on staring at us, it was so weird" she shook her head.
"If she does something to you, says anything to you, tell me okay?" She nodded and kissed my cheek making me pout
"Why not the lips?" She was about to kiss me before a force in between us stopped us making both of us look down
"Buddy!" I rolled my eyes and looked at the little puppy
"Actually the correct name would be Ash" she shoved me before starting to play with the dog
"Buddy you want to play?" I groaned and pouted
"But I thought-" Before I can even speak she left with 'Buddy' to her room
"Ha! You didn't get some, that's what you get for calling me little one" Maddie said before leaving me in the living room by myself.

I guess this is just a filler chapter. Next chapter is the New Years party and some little stuff will go down.
