Knock just knock. I didn't even know why my nerves where all over the place. I'm just taking care of Demi, it's not a big deal...okay it kinda is for me because I really want to prove to her that I'm not a bad person as she thinks I am, not only that but she thinks that I don't like her, it's actually the opposite, my feelings for her are all over the place, I can't even describe what I'm feeling for her...is it love? No that's too soon, more like a liking, yeah a really big liking in someone that I hardly know. Jeez Naya get it together.

I rang the doorbell to her house and was greeted by a Demi in a wheelchair looking up at me with a goofy smile

"Hi Naya I didn't think you were coming today" She rolled her wheelchair back letting me pass inside the house, I closed the door for her.

"I said I would take care of you didn't I?" I got in front of her wheelchair leaning down to her level

She looked down at her lap "I thought you were lying" she muttered, I can't believe she thought I was lying, does she really think I'm a liar?

"No I'm actually here" she looked up at me with her big brown eyes making my heart jump "Yes you are" she giggled.

"Now what would you like to do today Miss.Lovato?" She groaned

"Don't call me that. Just call me Demi or Dems like you call me"

"Okay Dems" I knew she was trying so hard not to smile by the way she was biting her lip "And you're Nay, for the mean time until I think of a better nickname than that" she said.

I looked down at her leg cast and saw that a couple of people had signed it already one of them being her best friend Nick. I always thought they were too close with each other but then I just discovered that they're really great friends, which was a relief.

"You never signed my cast" she pointed out

"I'll sign it right now if you have a marker with you" she starting rolling off her wheelchair to her room and a minute later she came back with a blue marker

"Can I put whatever I want?" I raised my eyebrows smirking

"Yes. No nasty stuff" I took the cap of the market while looking around for a perfect spot to write something

'Tu belleza esta afuera de este mundo' -Nay

Once I was done writing I let Demi read it making her furrow her eyebrows

"What does that mean?" I'll let her figure that out by herself

"I don't know what does it mean?" I shrugged getting up, she huffed and crosses her arms like a child

"I want to know" she whined

"Well then use google translate" I mimicked

"But I don't have my phone with me"

"Well to bad so sad I'm not telling you" she pouted giving me a puppy face "I want to know what it means" she groaned

"Clue. Belleza means beauty" I winked at her making her blush.

Not only that but the whole day she kept bothering me on what it meant and I kept telling her to use her phone but she said she rather hear it from me and I just told her that I'm not going to tell her anytime soon.

"You're such a pain in the ass" I gasped

"I am not" she rolled her eyes as we stopped next to the couch

"Are you going to come everyday or only when you feel like it" I shrugged

"Do you want me to come everyday?"

She fidgeted with the end of her shirt "I mean...yeah if you want to...I wouldn't mind you coming everyday" she blushed "only if you want to"

"Alright then I'll come everyday how about that?" Her face lighten up

"Really you'll come everyday just for me?" I'll do anything just to see that smile on your face

"Yeah I will. Just for you" she grinned and gave me a high five "thank you for everything you've done so far. From staying at the hospital to taking care of me, I guess Lea was right about you, you're actually caring and nice, and somewhat of a goofball"

"I am not a goofball"

"Says the one that was making racing noises like they were in a race while driving the wheelchair"

"Okay that's because that wheelchair makes a squeaking noise and I just want to cover it up with my awesome race car noises" I pointed out

"Whatever you say goofball" I was about to say something back but I rather just let it go, not that I didn't mind Demi calling me goofball because I really was a goofball on the inside, and maybe a little nerdy too but I would never tell Demi that or anyone in that matter.

The rest of the day was rather calmly, I thought Demi would've been more talkative but she wasn't, instead at times she would leave to her room leaving me in the living room alone which was starting to kinda tick me off but I didn't say anything, I wanted to spend time with Demi but the fact that she wouldn't talk was kinda getting to me

"So you have any friends visiting you during this time"

"My friend Nick is supposed to come, I think he may even spend some nights here I'm not sure. Possibly my family is coming back for a couple of days then they'll leave back to Texas" I nodded. Okay progress.

"Then there's you thats coming here everyday" she giggled "Which is going to make my days better, seeing you here everyday" she looked down, I knew she was blushing, but I was blushing too. I knew it was getting late and if I didn't leave any time soon I wouldn't want to leave later especially if it involves talking to Demi or doing anything with Demi

"I have to go its getting a little late don't you think" she nodded starting to move her wheelchair back. I got up and pushed Demi towards the door silently making car noises

"You have got to stop doing that"

"Sorry it's a habit. When I was little my grandpa was in a wheelchair and he told me to have fun and enjoy life then he told me that he wants to have fun one day and I was like sure. We were at a store and I started making car noises around the store while driving my grandpa away constantly bumping into people and all I saw was him laughing, then before he passed away he told me to never stop having fun and just make the little things fun like this" she looked at me shocked

"It's nothing I know but like when I saw you in that wheelchair the first thought that came into my mind was my grandpa and our last memory together which was me making race car noises" I shrugged trying to keep my composure but on the inside I was ready to crumble down, my grandpa meant a lot to me and when he passed away when I was 17 I felt like it was the end of the world, he was always the only one to make me laugh and he was so full of wisdom.

"That's-wow Naya that's sad" she looked at me with a sad smile "Yeah you can keep making those noises, I didn't care about the noises it was just funny teasing you, and it's really cute you look like a chipmunk when you do that" she giggled

"Well thank you Miss Lovato, but I have to get going now" I opened the door exiting before she even had time to respond

"It's Demi!" She shouted while I was already in front of my car

"I know I was just teasing you" I winked at her "Bye Dems" she had the cheekiest smile on her face right now.

One step closer.
