Soobin let his eyes flutter open, inwardly groaning upon checking the time on his phone because it was way too early and he knew he wouldn't be able to fall back asleep. He sat up in his bed, debating on whether he should text Taehyung to find out where he was but decided against it. He didn't have the energy or yearn to speak to someone at this point in time. His heart felt heavy and he hadn't grown accustomed to the feeling yet, which kinda sucked seeing as he knew it wouldn't go away anytime soon.

Soobin couldn't help but let his mind wander to Yeonjun, he couldn't help but wonder how the younger was feeling. If he was eating well, sleeping well. He couldn't help but think about his face, his smile, his voice. Soobin felt his heart sink at the thought of the sound he hadn't heard in so long, a newfound yearning gnawing at his insides unbearably. A yearning to hear the Prince's voice, to feel his body next to his as he slept.

"You're awake" Taehyung's voice forced Soobin to sit up in his bed, a groan escaping his lips because he wanted to be lazy for once. He wanted to mope around in bed and wallow in self-pity for at least a day, he just needed time to his thoughts.

"Really?" Soobin scoffed, his face showing zero amusement, and any emotion at all for that matter, because he was actually pissed and he didn't understand why so it made him even more angry.

"You're not getting this anymore" Taehyung frowned deeply, gesturing to the tray of breakfast he held in his hands before sitting beside the former knight on the bed.

"Nah, please, I'm actually hungry" Soobin almost whined upon seeing his hyung actually dig into the food, his stomach rumbling like he hadn't eaten in months.

"Give us a second" Taehyung continued to eat the food.

Soobin was not impressed when he was handed a half-eaten tray, a frown finding its way onto his tired face in defeat. He was already feeling like trash today, and he couldn't even enjoy a full serving of breakfast to possibly cheer him up.

"I'm sorry, royal food is just so nice" Taehyung apologised, though his face and tone showed little to no remorse.

"That's not a valid reason-"

"Yes it is! Anyway, I need to tell you something before I forget" Taehyung flailed his hands about, maybe because he wanted to emphasise his words or maybe Kim Taehyung was just really weird. Soobin soon decided it was the latter upon looking at his hyung for a good second or two.

"What is it?" Soobin furrowed his eyebrows, slight disinterest in his tone because he was so used to any form of news being bad.

"They said you've got two days to figure your sh*t out then leave" the nurse shrugged, mainly because he was convinced Soobin wouldn't decline his offer of living with him.

"Who said that?".

"Yongsun, it's pretty ironic how she told me to tell you because she's the messenger- but she's really cute so I couldn't say no-" Taehyung rambled, however cutting himself off when he saw Soobin's eyes literally showing daggers.

"Damn right she told me to tell you, I would've strangled her otherwise" Soobin spat with gritted teeth, causing Taehyung to widen his eyes.

"Why? Yongsun's a sweetheart-"

"She's anything but, she's the person that outed me and Yeonjun" Soobin ignored the way his heart did a thing in his chest upon the Prince's name rolling off his lips for the first time in a while.

"Oh" was all the eldest could say.

"She's the definition of a wolf in sheep's clothing" Soobin concluded, going back to eating his food before he got even more angry.
