Soobin stared at his lap, picking at the rips on his jeans. He let his eyes flick up towards the door every now and then in hopes that it would freak open. It was all he could do to keep his impatience on lock.

Yeonjun said that he'd come back with Ryujin to explain the plan as soon as Soobin had said yes, but it's been two hours and neither of them had arrived. To say Soobin was worried was an understatement, he was in a bundle of nerves at where the two could be. He couldn't help but relive the unspeakable upon the thought of them possibly have being caught.

Looking back on things, he knew he should've said no. He knew the most wise decision would've been to push the Prince away and accept Taehyung's offer to start a new life. He knew how problematic Yeonjun was, and how risky plans like these were. But, Soobin also knew how cute the the Prince was. He knew how endearing his voice was, and he knew how sweet his kisses were. He knew that he would never forget Yeonjun, he knew that he was willing to risk it all for him.

Of course he was scared, but his fears were nothing in comparison to how much he loved the younger and how much he yearned for him. Especially at times like these when they were far apart-

Soobin had to place a hand on his heart to stop it from hammering so much when Choi Yeonjun burst into the doors of his room, pressing his back against the door to shut it with this crazed shocked expression covering his face.

The eldest didn't know whether to feel relieved, worried or just plain amused when he looked the Prince up and down, quickly deciding on the last option upon Yeonjun throwing himself onto the floor dramatically.

"... You okay?" Soobin didn't know if it was the right question to ask, holding in a smirk at how the younger resembled a starfish the way he was sprawled across the floor.

"I-I think so." The brunette replied breathlessly.

"You sound like you've run a marathon." Soobin scoffed at how overdramatic the younger was being, forcing himself to ignore the half of his mind that found it the cutest thing ever.

"It was worse than that." Yeonjun shook his head, chest still heaving up and down which was beginning to make the former knight slightly worried.

"What happened?-"

"I had to run up stairs."

"Why?" Soobin asked, slightly curious seeing as Yeonjun's room was only across the corridor from his.

Yeonjun sat up from his sprawled position, his expression soon turning eerily serious as he gave Soobin this look which only made the eldest confused as hell.

"The King..." Yeonjun trialed, almost as if he couldn't get the words out.

"Did he catch you?" Soobin couldn't help but begin to jump to conclusions, not being able to handle the suspense.

"No, he- he wants to meet you. Over dinner."

Have you ever been somewhere? Whether it be a party, or someone's house, and just wondered how the f*ck you got there?

That pretty much sums up Soobin's feelings in this moment. He didn't know how he got to where he was in this moment, all he really knew was that he wanted to get out and even that he wasn't fully sure of.

The silence was beginning to get tense, and the fact that no one else knew they were in this room added to the tension.

Soobin glanced to Yeonjun, easily being able to sense the younger's uneasiness by the way he was fiddling with his fingers and constantly shifting his eyes. Soobin wasted no time in grabbing the Prince's hands and giving them the smallest squeeze, hoping to reassure him and to reassure himself that this wasn't all some trap.

"You guys are planning something, no?" The King asked way too casually, beginning to dig into his food seconds after.

The way the eldest seemed so calm mocked Soobin in a way. Soobin hadn't even touched his food in the time that they had been here. He couldn't eat when there were so many thoughts running through his mind. He couldn't eat when he felt so unsettled. He couldn't eat in front of someone that could ruin his life with a snap of his fingers.

"What do you mean by 'planning'?" Ryujin was the first of us to speak, the way she furrowed her eyebrows slightly and spoke with confidence showing nothing but cluelessness. If it wasn't for his own knowledge, Soobin would've never thought Ryujin wasn't innocent in all this.

"You're lying."

That was all it took for a silence to erupt in the room. Nothing could be heard except for the small hum from the yellow lights that shone down onto the banquet table. Everyone was so tense, even the King looked slightly on edge as he stared hard and cold into Ryujin's eyes.

Everyone in the room, except for the King, jumped when the eldest burst into a chorus of laughter, his expression softening when a smile covered his features.

"I'm only playing with you." The King grinned, shaking his head.

"You guys shouldn't look so freighted. Especially you." He pointed at Yeonjun with his fork, "you shouldn't be scared of your own father." He continued, pausing again to take another bite of his meal.
