AIGHT LISTEN THIS THING HAS HAD 99 PARTS FOR TOO LONG, IMMA FINISH IT OFF WITH ONE LAST PART TO MAKE IT HAVE 100 PARTS.
I remember some of the memories I had while typing this, and I thought I'd share them with you all. They aren't in chronological order, but I hope you still enjoy them anyway.
They may or may not be updated, depends.
- Going to a beach club in South Carolina and sitting by a pool, on a chair, or in a hot tub, typing Nightroad's beginnings
- Sending said chapters into a group chat on youtube, not really feeling like they had value for a while (though one friend did back them up on a Google Doc)
- Sitting an a room of a music store, typing Pitch vs Goggles while my sibling had their viola lessons
- Checking the Kuro vs Nana chapter and also typing other chapters while at a Chinese summer camp
- The two week long hiatus I took without warning due to going to a different Summer camp (which didnt allow screens), which I asked my friends to comment on Nightroad about, but they didn't and I cried
- Typing the scene before Enperoir vs Prince in my own bathroom late at night
- Suffering as the Crow vs Gloves chapter remained unfinished for the longest time (with a few chapters ahead of it having been done already)
- Discovering Opia from a jsab video and saying "yeah that's a p good bop I think I'll use that" (same w Huoshan)
- Me screaming about how to write swordfights in the youtube chat (also watching videos on it that didnt help)
- Trying to make Heise's lust sin visible via the shirt moment in the "Ghost" chapter and failing horribly
- Gasping when "Ghost" reached 3,000+ words
- Dying internally upon seeing Emperor vs Noir was almost 3,000 words
- Screaming when finding out the final battle was 6,000+ words aka 3 TIMES AS LONG AS A REGULAR BATTLE CHAPTER
- Sighing in relief when it was all over and done being typed (as I typed out each chapter in advance) and then groaning upon starting Stardom.
- Watching Nightroad temporarily overtake Skyroad in the splatoon/splatroad/gloves tag, only to have it fall back down again
- Drawing/taking a picture of Enperoir at a pool and smiling at his gremlin design, as well as a few other Nightroad doodles.
- Crying when people said "o is that a steven universe?" in the ballroom chapter instead of screaming about the fact Noir really just pulled that move on Emperor and Prince
also unrelated but the date I posted this (March 22 2020) was the day Cosmo from fairly oddparents had an idea and thats a thing on tumblr so yay I guess
