I ship Redstonebug, aka Virabot x Yellow (I used to call it Lovebug, but it could be used for Virabot x anyone)

When I do anything involving it, I always go with a redeemed Virabot because it's easier to work with. But there's some angst that I haven't talked about. Actually, to be honest I don't do much with this ship at all, which is a shame because it's really cute with redeemed Vira. But this chapter I'll discus the angst of the ship, as well as a not redeemed Vira story

Angst in redeemed Virabot AU:

When Vira first saw Yellow she literally tried to kill him. Which leads to two angst points:

1. It took a long time for Yellow to completely trust Vira
2. Vira fells really, really guilty about her attack on the computer. Especially her attacks on Second,Red, and Yellow. And the guilt actually gets worse after she and Yellow got together, and Yellow has to remind her that she's not the same person anymore, and has grown

I headcanon that Virabot is a android of sorts and is a robo gurl. So she would have a lot of existential crisis where she asks, "Am I actually a living being? Am I really alive?" Yellow is helpful saying that she is way to complex to not at the very least considered sapient, and no matter what anyone else says, she's alive to him

Chosen will probably never trust Vira, which never lets her live down the guilt. The rainbow crew have tried to get him to trust Vira, but Chosen is always stubborn and bitter about these things (I know this wasn't really Redstonebug, but Yellow is involved so it counts)

Not redeemed Virabot

O h b o y

(Idk what else to say before getting to the story)

I could an AU imagine where Virabot was ordered to watch the sticks for a few days before attacking them. Otherwise, it would play out just the same as canon

Yellow stood out to her. He had a knack for mechanical stuff, even though she was a thousand times more complex then any of that stuff. She watched him interact with the other sticks. He was a dork, an oddly adorable dork with an adorable laugh and smile. She watched him spar with the other sticks. Not bad, not bad at all. He was kind to people, and didn't think of himself as above anyone. Actually, to be honest, he thought pretty low of himself.

But why? He's very talented and nice, why didn't he like himself?

When it was getting near to the day she'd strike, she started to have second thoughts. But she found a solution where both she and mom would be happy. Her mom agreed to late spare just one.

Yellow felt useless. As soon as he got involved in the fight, he was immediately covered in this wired, web thing that it threw at him. He couldn't move, he could only watch in terror as his friends desperately tried and failed to balanced saving him and fighting that thing. It eventually covered them as well, but it put them on the other side of the computer. He watched helplessly as it approached  them, sharpening its arrowheads. It lunged at Second. But suddenly an explosion came from right behind it. A portal opened. and a black stick figure walked out.
