Its been an year since they got married and left the village next day. They were on a mission to track down the last Otsutsuki. They had gotten nothing so far. Every trace they followed, it led them to a dead end.

Hinata and Sasuke had travelled to every part of the world to track down that Otsutsuki but they didn't found him. But as they travelled in search of him, they enjoyed every moment together, not wasting even a second of it. Even though they were on a mission, Hinata felt so free. Free from all the shackles of the Hyuga clan and from that weight she carried with her all these years.

She always had worries, she always worried about her sister, her clan and its ways, and that promise she made to her late cousin. But now she had no worries. She felt like a free bird, soaring freely through the blue skies.

She was right now in the Water Country with her husband, Sasuke. She blushed at the thought. Even though after an year of marriage, she still couldn't let go of that shyness she felt around him. He always made her feel such strange emotions and every single day, her love for him was growing.

She was at the deck of their ship they had rented from the docks of the Mist Village. The cool and salty breeze of the sea reached her nose and she inhaled it deeply. She looked at the horizen as the sun rose like a ball of fire but calm and peaceful.

She smiled when an arm was wrapped around her waist from behind. She turned her head and saw Sasuke looking at the sunrise, a peaceful smile on his face just like every morning. She'd never get tired of that smile. Her heart felt complete whenever she saw that smile on Sasuke's lips.

"Good Morning," she said as she leaned in close to his chest. She felt him rest his chin on top of her head as he said, "Hm."

She let out a chuckle at his answer, he never talked much in the morning, he'd always hold Hinata like that and just enjoyed the moment. But she knew she would have to ruin it. They needed to talk about their mission. They were currently tracking a strange chakra signature all the way from the Land of Earth.

"Sasuke," she started and again he replied with 'hn'.

"What if this ends just like the other traces we found?" she asked.

Sasuke was silent for a minute but then simply said, "Then we'll find another trace."

She sighed, already anticipating his answer. She turned her body and wriggled out of his grasp as she faced him.

"We have another way," she said as she looked him in the eye, "A better one. We just hav--"

She was cut off by him as he said softly, "We are not discussing it again, Hinata."

And with that he started to get back inside but was halted by Hinata when she said in a hopeful tone, "But it can work."

"We are not doing it," he said firmly, "And that's final."

"No." Hinata also stood her ground as she furrowed her brows. Sasuke sighed and went to her as he gently held her shoulders.

"I can't place you in danger," he said softly, worry and fear evident in his eyes.

"But I won't be in any kind of danger and I won't be alone. You'd be there," she also said in a soft tone but with a firm edge to it.

Sasuke shook his head and opened his mouth to say something but Hinata beat him to that.

"He said he could sense my chakra and he said he will come for me. He wants my chakra, Sasuke. He will come no matter what. So why not we just lure him here, to us. And I know he will come."

"I know he will that's why we can't do this. This will place you in grave danger and I can't let this happen." He reasoned with her but Hinata just smiled at him and touched his cheeks with her hands, holding them.
