Chapter 28

"Mani wake up."

"Leave me alone."

"Armani if you don't get the fuck out of bed I'm personally going to dunk ice cold water on you."

"Alice please let me sleep."

"Elly get up. It's Friday remember."

"Oh shit."

I forgot. How can I forget when I stayed up all night wrapping gifts.
I'm a dumb person.

I threw the covers aside and almost fell down. Quickly made my way to the bathroom. Right before I closed the door I heard someone say,

"Great hair style Khelani."

Cameron. No one but Cameron.

Take a look and see why he said it dummy.

I looked in the mirror and screamed out.

"Guess she saw herself." Cameron said.

"Yeah, I'm surprised she isn't running out the bathroom." Alice replied after him.

"I can hear you." I shouted out.

"We know." They replied back.

Wow. What wonderful friends I have.

It took about 30 minutes to detangle and take tape strips out my hair.
Then another 30 to wash my hair and shower.
Then an extra 15 minutes standing in front the mirror looking at myself.

When I finally came out they looked at me.
Cameron turned away. Alice raised a brow and Kyle just kept on staring.

"Might wanna go put some clothes on."

"Oh no, I'm gonna go to my house naked."

"Please don't." Cameron gave out.

I took my time and got ready.
I found a two piece white floral suit.
A drop off shoulder top and a high waisted shorts.
I placed a necklace my dad got me when I was 17 around my neck. It said ARMANI. 
I completed my look with some plain white vans and a anklet with my initials on it.

"Okay let's go."

"Uhm your hair?" Alice asked.

"Oh crap."

I straightened my hair and let drop down to my hips.

"Alright let's go. It's almost 12 and it's a 4 hour drive. When there's traffic."

"Alright. Let's do this." Alice said.

We all left the room and started walking.

"Elly you forgot the gifts."

"Oh fuck me."
I turned around, went back inside got the gifts went outside and stood there.
"Am I forgetting anything else?"

"Your phone and your bag." Alice answered.

I turned again. Grabbed my phone up and my knapsack  and left.
I think I have it all.

We stood in the school parking lot contemplating how the car arrangement will go.
We can either just take my car or we can take Cameron's car. Or both.
We decided on both.
Kyle and Cameron will drive behind me until we get there.

Before we got into the car Cameron stopped us.

"Khelani is your house really big?"

"Oh no it's not."

4 and a half hours later we finally pulled up in front my house.
"Khelani your liar."

"What did i do?"

"You said your house wasn't big."

"And you believed her?" Alice asked him.
"She drives a Porsche and her dad drives a Mercedes Benz. How dumb are you?"

Got to the door and I rang the door bell.

"Why did you just-?"

"Because they don't know I'm coming."

A minute later I heard my dad shout at Chris.

"Chris go get the door."

"But dad I'm busy."

"Christian!"

"Okay fine."

I heard some heavy footsteps before the door open.

"Hello and welcome to- Kelly!!" Chris shouted.
"Boy am I glad to see you." He hugged me. Chris never hugs me.

"Chris please let me go."

"But I missed my favorite big sister."

"Well I didn't miss you now let me go."

"Noo!"

"Chris let you sister go."

"But dad-"

"Let her go."

Chris and gave in and finally let me go. And as soon as he did I ran straight towards dad.
I missed my father.
Dad hugged me and sniffled.

"Dad are you crying?"

"No."

"You miss me don't you?"

"Trust me Khelani I don't."

"Ouch that hurt."

Dad laughed before he realized the two guys and one girl standing at his door.

"Alice." My dad said with a smile.

"Mr too hot for his age. How are you?"

Dad started laughing again before he hugged Alice.

"And who are these two young men?"

"Dad the one leaning on your doorframe is Cameron and the other is Kyle. His younger brother."

"Cameron. Yes, thanks again for letting my daughter stay with you."

"It was no problem. She did nothing but ordered tons of pizza."

"Yep that's my girl." Dad said then kissed the top of my head.

"Wow. Thanks dad."
