Once Lauren walked into the kitchen she sees Camila sitting on top of the counter swinging her legs back and forth. Lauren loves Camila's childish version, she was always like this but the accident made her act even more which Lauren certainly doesn't mind.

"Do you want a popsicle while I cook?" Lauren asks with a smile.

"Yes, yes please!" Camila claps her hands.

Lauren chuckles and opens the freezer door, grabbing a popsicle stick. She walks over to Camila and puts it in front of her.

"Can you open it?" Camila pouts.

"Why?" Lauren smiles.

"It's cold!" Camila whines.

Lauren chuckles and meets eyes with the younger girl. "Can you say please?"

"Can you pwease open it for me Lolo?" Camila does the puppy eyes.

If only Camila could remember how much those puppy eyes drove Lauren crazy. Lauren fell in love with Camila for how she is. She's 21 but she is childish and it's the cutest thing Lauren has ever seen.

Lauren hands Camila her now opened popsicle and leaves after giving Camila a smile. Lauren preps everything, every once in a while taking quick glances over at Camila.

"You should slow down on eating that you're going to get a brain freeze," Lauren chuckles, already cooking the meal.

Camila tilts her head to the side, "Brain freeze?"

Lauren puts the necessary things for the omelet and shakes her head. "It's not a good thing," She smiles.

Camila hops down and stands to be right next to Lauren. "Have you had a brain freeze?" She asks.

Lauren smiles and looks at Camila once. "I have them plenty of times it's when you eat something cold really fast," Lauren explains.

"Oh." Camila draws circles on the counter for a while then giggles. "I remember when mommy got one," She whispers.

"How bad was it?" Lauren asks. Of course, she knows because she was there.

"It was so awful. She was in pain but still laughed along with us," Camila let's out.

Lauren stopped for a while and let out a sigh remembering every detail of that day.

"Lauren, how long have you known my parents?" Camila asks.

"Well since I was 7 years old," Lauren says.

"How?" Camila says.

"You guys moved in next door you were only 6, do you remember that?" Lauren says.

Camila furrows her eyebrows in concentration. "Not really," She says.

Lauren's smile turns to a frown, "Oh." Lauren will never forget that day.....

"Mami! Mami! There's new people next door!" Seven-year-old Lauren says to her mother.

"I know Lauren, " Clara laughs at her young daughter.

Lauren's father and her six-year-old brother, Chris, come out. The moving van gets out of the way and a family car pulls up. A lady almost around the age of Clara comes out. Then a male comes out about the age of Clara as well.

The male opens the backseat door and carefully takes out a young girl. The father sets her down and she hugs her father.

Little Lauren keeps staring at the young girl trying to make out her face. The young girl turns around and smiles at Lauren's family. She goes inside the house with her mother and the male comes over to Lauren's family.

"Hi, I'm Alejandro!" He outstretched his.

"Michael," Lauren's father shakes his hand.

"I'm Clara!" Lauren's mother responds.

"Well that was my wife Sinuhe and my daughter Karla or Camila, " Alejandro says with a warm smile.

"How old is your daughter señor?" Lauren's small voice asks.

Alejandro smiles down at the little girl and crouches to her height. "What's your name sweetie?" He asks.

"Lauren," She says outstretching her small hand.

Alejandro chuckles and takes her hand, shaking it. "My daughter is 6 years old I'm sure you will get along well." Alejandro stands up and smiles at Mike and Clara.

"We barely got here from Cuba a year ago," Alejandro informs.

"You'll be very welcomed here, " Clara smiles.

"Any other siblings sweetheart?"  Alejandro asks Lauren.

"My younger brother Chris who's 6 and my younger sister Taylor who's 4," Lauren confirms.

"Well, I have to help my family unpack," Alejandro says and leaves after saying goodbye.

"Mami I like them already," Lauren says looking up at her mother.

"I do too hermosa," Clara smiles at her daughter, running her hand through her silky hair.

Lauren runs a hand through her silky hair and smiles at Camila, putting the food on a plate. "Here," Lauren says sweetly.

Camila smiles brightly and grabs the plate of food. She waits for Lauren to serve her plate and once she does Camila takes her free hand. Lauren let's the younger girl lead her where she's taking her.

Camila let's go of Lauren's hand to slide open the back door. Lauren waits for the girl to step out then she does.

"Me, mama, and papa counted the stars whenever we ate dinner," Camila says sitting down on the grass.

Lauren sits down next to her and smiles. "That's what you want to do?" Lauren asks, taking a bite of her food.

Camila nods and smiles cheekily, "With you."
