Fall Nights

It's a late fall college night. I'm waking to the parking garage after an evening bio lab. The sidewalks are empty of other students unlike a couple hours ago. The sky is black revealing a little bit of moon, and the school lamp lights illuminate my path. And the air is cool with a slight warmth after an extremely hot day. It reminds me of the end of work, and coming home to you, excited to tell you about my day. But your ears no longer welcome my voice and your body had been lost in the crowd. The feeling of our teenage years remain, even if our relationship didn't sustain.
