"Is that Miss Mira?"

"The guy looks like sir Khite."

"How scandalous."

"Isn't he married?"

"Are they having an affair?"

"Poor, Mrs. Rodriguez..."

"I feel bad for V..."

Rinig na rinig ko ang mga comments kahit binubulong pa nila.

And that also means na naririnig rin ni V ang mga ito.

I feel a strange sense of dé ja vu here...

Oh right, something like this happened 8 years ago.

Timing rin na kakabalik lang ni Aliyah noh?

I felt my heart throb.

Binitawan ni V ang kamay ko.

He was still staring at the picture.

Hindi ko alam kung ano ang nasa isip niya pero alam ko na kung hahayaan ko lang siya, may masamang mangyayari.

So I grabbed his hand and held it tightly.

As shocked and as hurt as I am because of all this, mas takot akong mawala si V kaysa sa kung ano ang magiging reaksyon ng publiko.

"V, look at me..." I whispered in a panicked tone.

He didn't move.

Nakatitig pa rin siya sa picture.

He looked... hurt.

"V, listen to me, it's not what it looks like. Hindi yan totoo! Maniwala ka sakin please..." I tug on his arm.

Desperate, I cling onto him, trying to keep him from thinking of anything else.

Alam kong hindi siya yung tipong madaling maniniwala sa mga ganito pero hindi normal and reaction niya eh...

He would've asked me by now...

But he's still so quiet.

Then, Kieth comes rushing back in, calm, cool and collected. Pero makikita mo ang pawis sa gilid ng mukha niya.

He was holding his phone.

A new wave of whispers erupt.

"What are you all doing?" His cold voice echoes through the room and everyone shuts up.

The room fell silent.

"I'm not paying you to gossip. Go back to work."

And just like that, nagsibalikan ang mga tao sa kanilang mga trabaho.

But the whispers still lingered.

Everyone scurried here and there but V and I stayed put.

We were both stuck looking at Kieth's calm figure.
