Emma POV

Evan's arrogant smirk didn't falter even as I pointed the gun to his head. His steady cold blue eyes shifted to something behind me, I fought the urge to turn around and see what he was looking at.

"What, aren't you gonna shoot me?" Evan taunted with a lazy smile. I tightened my grip on the gun and shifted to better my aim.

"I did what you wanted, now you leave me alone." I stated. I tasted blood at my split lips, and my throat killing me with each word I struggled to spit out.

Evan eyed me for a long moment, his eyes slowly trailing over my body, lingering on my injuries. "C'mon, be a good girl and get in the car." He said softly, completely ignoring the fact that I am one flicker of a finger away from blowing his brains out.

Then the sound of a shot rang in the deadly silence of the cold night. The acrid smell of gunpowder making me feel sick. My ears were still ringing as I looked at Evan.

In a haze I took a few steps back, almost tripping on thin air. Evan only smiled. I looked behind me to see Josh getting out of another slik black car, his gun still ready to make another shot.

"That was a warning shot sweetheart," Evan said. "I suggest you hand me the gun. You shoot me, and your life will be snuffed out next."

A motorcycle pulled over beside us, the rider wearing a black cargo pants and a leather jacket. Mason removed his black helmet and eyed me with barely contained shock. His eyes shifted from my injuries and blood stain and trained to the weapon in my hand.

"Emma..." Mason said softly, "What happened?"

I let out a hollowed laugh, making him frown in concern. "Iker and you people happened to me." I spat out.

Mason looked at me with guilt in his eyes, then approached me. Slowly, as if I am a frightened animal he's trying to calm.

"Give me the gun, lets have chris take a look at you." Mason took a step closer to me. I was so exhausted and I looking at Josh, I knew I didn't want to die. Not yet. I wasn't ready to die at 17 years of age having achieved nothing.

I lowered my gun to my side, eyeing Josh who surprisingly wasn't wearing a menacing expression. In fact I couldn't read his emotions at all. Evan seemed to have lost his easy smile and was watching as Mason slowly approached me.

Mason reached for my gun, his eyes watchful for any sudden movements I might make. After it was in his possession, Josh lowered his own gun.

"C'mon, get inside the car." Evan said, without an ounce of anger even though I had threatened to kill him.

Mason Opened the back door and guided me inside Evan's black BMW. He brushed my hair out of my face, and buckled my seatbelt. Then he closed the door before wearing his helmet and getting on his motorcycle.

Quitely, Evan started the car and started driving. I used the heel of my palms to wipe my tears away. I kept thinking about how Evan is gonna punish me for pulling that gun on him. I looked up to see Evan's eyes assessing me from the rear-view mirror.

"I'mma let that one slide, so stop crying." He said with irritation. I only looked at him with surprise. "When we get back to the mansion Chris will fix you up, then you're gonna recount the events inside the club."

Talking hurt too much so I just nodded, hoping he caught the motion from the rear-view mirror. I leaned against the window and tried to keep my eyes open, but exhaustion won over. I decided to close my eyes, the motion of the car lulling me to sleep.
