A New Beginning

An offer

After a shot and a few other drinks, I was done. Chloe... was not. She was currently playing beer pong, and going wild. I went outside of the house and to the pool area. It was quieter but still loud. I found a chair away from everyone else. This really was not how I wanted to spend my birthday. My phone buzzed and it was a text from Chloe saying she found a girl, and is going home with her. 'Great' I thought to myself. I got on the Uber app and called an Uber and it was here within a few minuets. I got in and told her to take me to my apartment. When I got there I changed out of my outfit and turned on Netflix. I ended up falling asleep on my couch cuddled in my blanket.

I woke up to my phone ringing. I picked it up and saw it was my manager. "hey Greg." I said in a very tired raspy voice. "Oh shoot I forgot it is like 4 a.m in Sydney right now." he said frantically. "No, no Greg it is fine. What's up?" i asked now fully awake. "I got some good news for you. A few teams have reached out to me wanting to sign you." he said and now I was really awake. "Okay. Like who?" I asked with more excitement growing in me. "Well in England we have Bristol City, Everton, and Manchester City. In Spain Athletico Madrid. In Italy Juventus and Ajax. The in the U.S Sky Blue." Greg said and I went through the list again in my head. A few stuck out to me, I told Greg and he told me he would reach out to the clubs and get back to me. We hung up and I just laid there on the couch thinking how this could be it, this could be my next opportunity. A million things were going through my mind at this time. Could I handle this next step, i don't know. Since I just could not fall asleep I decided to mess around on my phone. Until it rung again, it was Greg again. "Yes, Greg?" He told me some important news about another club putting their name in the bid for me. "I want to sign for them." I told Greg with utter confidence. "Are you sure? Do you need any more time to think?" He asks. I reassured him of my decision and he told me to head to the Airport and he would be sending me my flight information. I hung up the phone and started packing a small bag. I knew I would have time to come back and get the rest of my stuff. I called an Uber and headed to the airport to get on my flight. Greg sent me my flight information and I thanked him. We arrived at the airport, and got situated with everything I needed. 

My first flight to Hong Kong was called and I boarded the plane. The flight was long and exhausting, but I had to race to my next flight.
