I woke up to a knock on the door "time to get up" they stated before moving to the next room. I sighed as I pushed myself up from the bed sheets, my eyes trailing to the girls who were only just waking up

"Today is the day I dread the most" Riley states with a pout. "Riles it's just a walk through some bushes" I laugh "yea a 3 hour walk! I'm with Riley on this one. It's the worst day" Isadora chimed In. I got up from the bed and changing into my outfit for the day

I wore black yoga pants with a wooly black jumper from urban outfitters, some timberlands and my rounded black sunglasses. My hair was perfectly curled which is strange for me, usually i think it looks a mess.

"You guys ready?" I ask once I was, turning back to my friends. They nodded saying they were, getting up to leave our room with me. We went down the stairs toward the main living area, students and teachers dotted around the place doing their own thing

"You can start your walk when you want to, people are already on their way. The latest you can leave is in an hour. The college workers will be doing the walk with you..so no funny business" Mr Matthews informed us as we reached the bottom step. "Okay thanks daddy" Riley smiled cheerfully

"I'm gonna go in an hour I can't be bothered right now" Riley added as she turned back to us "Yea I'm gonna do the same..it looks like it might rain" Isadora pouted, her eyes facing the sky outside "well I'm gonna go now..see you later" I decide, leaving the lodge and heading down to the track where a few students were walking too

I pulled out my phone and plugged my earphones to drown out the world while I focused on my walk. I watched the trees and the ground crumbling below me as I stood on the gravel path. I got about 20 ministers into the walk when my earphones were pulled from my ears

I look up to Lucas who stood beside me, a cheeky grin on his face "ha ha" I sarcastically fake laughed. He continued to walk with me, "howcome you're alone?" He questioned. I shrugged "Riley and Isadora didn't wanna go yet but I didn't want to sit around so I just went my myself" I say unbothered

He nodded understandingly "why are you alone?" I add, repeating his question "well we're supervising..and I saw you walking from behind you so I caught up" he smiled kindly "I don't need supervising" I inform him slightly annoyed

He shook his head instantly "no no I didn't mean it like that" he defended earning another small nod from me. We continued to walk in silence, comfortable silence until I felt light spitting hit my face. I groaned "how long do we have?" I question

"There's still two hours of the walk" he replied, his head tilting to the sky covering with dark grey clouds "do you wanna turn back?" He questioned. I kept walking for a few moments before turning back to him with a smirk "nah..let's keep going" I smile cheekily.

He chuckles at my response, shoving his hands in his pockets as we continued walking "you know last night..you said I was different..how?" I ask curiously, looking up to him as if he was a giant. "You're just not like the other girls, you can see it as soon as you walk into the room that you don't want to be like them" he started

"And it's good that you don't. You're more mature and easier to have a conversation with, I see you as a girl I've met rather then a high school student who i'm looking after" he added. My heart warmed slightly at his choice of words "I can tell you hate being called a child, I used to hate it too" he stated

I gave him a small laugh "how can you tell?" I question "because you physically cringe and your eyes flash a shade of annoyance" he chuckled making me laugh yet again
