It had now been a few hours, around 7pm Lucas and I sat by the bay window during the free time. Some students were outside, some were watching a movie or in their room "I wanna get to know you more" he spoke up after awhile

"You know my name and you've seen my sing Bootylicious, what else do you need to know?" I question with a laugh, making him chuckle also "it was very good by the way, you're talented" he smiled

"So what else you wanna know cowboy" I question, leaning back in my spot "how's life in New York?" He questioned "I live with my mom and my step dad, Shawn. My real dad left when I was 5 and I spent all the way up until the first year of high school working with Mr Matthews and Riley on forgiving myself for it..I don't have any siblings and I spend most of my life at Riley's house. I stay there for dinner and I'm there for when she wakes up some mornings" I inform him

"Are you happy?" He questioned "I..I survive. Everyone in school are rude and I am completely uninterested with them. Riley wears her pink diamond crop tops while I wear my vintage Rolling Stones top because I don't feel like I have to prove anything, but I don't feel like I want to because that would make me a lot more lie them then I want" I confess, practically giving him a life of maya speech

"Your very independent, and it's good you aren't like them, that would make you boring" he chuckled "I wanna know about you now" I reply, turning the focus onto him "I grew up in Texas with Zay, my parents got a divorce when I was 16 after my little sister died from a car accident. I shifted between the two houses all of high school until college where Zay and I decdided to go to California to start our own lives and I've been happy since" he explained

"I'm sorry for your loss" I place a hand on his lovingly. He smiled at the gesture "it's okay, I'm sure she's loving it up there" he smiled "so you see your parents much?" I asked, changing the touchy subject. "No. I see my mom a few times a year but only see my dad once, he remarried a year or so after the divorce and has turned cold towards us since" he explained

"But hey, if none of those things happened then I wouldn't be here now, and here is the only place I want to be" he smiled uneasily. I returned the smile "aren't you sweet" I laugh "do you know what you want to do when your older?" He questioned

I shrugged "I like art..I like music but they're both quite unreliable jobs so I'm not sure..maybe teaching like Mr Matthews or a lawyer like Mrs Matthews" I say unsure of my future "you'd be a great lawyer, you're so demanding" he laughed. I rolled my eyes "I'm just bossy" I defend

"How about you..? What are you doing?" I ask curiously "veterinarian" he stated simply, a proud smile on his face "I like that" I reply with the same smile.
