Hey y'all!

I thought it would be a good idea to get a few things out of the way before the story starts, so give me just a minute to explain some things!

Firstly, yes, what you're reading is a rewrite. This story, while a brilliant first effort at writing, was my debut on Wattpad and it didn't do too shabby. But (and that's a big but-like bigger than a Kardashian butt), it was cringy. The grammar and spelling alone weren't great, which is an essential part of reading a book, amiright? On top of that, however, you have the plot which was developed with half-ass effort and character development that can best be described as horrible.

Don't get me wrong, the story had a lot of potential and that's exactly why I decided to do a rewrite and an intense edit-well, that and so I was actually able to read my own work without it being downright *~NaUsiaTinG*~

I wrote the book as a young teenager who had never been in a relationship, so I created Carrie and Luca's relationship based off of what I saw on TV and in movies and what I thought, as a 14-year-old, was cute. Truth be told, I'm embarrassed at the low bar I set for myself and the young girls who have read the previous edition. I obviously didn't know any better then, but I certainly do now as an adult. You should expect more from relationships than what Wattpad puts out there, and I've tried my hardest to remedy the role I played in contributing to that narrative with this new edition.

That being said, there were things that I took out of the original version because they weren't appropriate, they didn't fit the vibe of the story or because they didn't add anything to the characters or to the plot

That being said, there were things that I took out of the original version because they weren't appropriate, they didn't fit the vibe of the story or because they didn't add anything to the characters or to the plot. But not to worry! I've added a lot to the story that I feel maintains and supplements the integrity and charm of the original.

The story is different than it was, yes, but it was a necessary rewrite.

Some of you will disagree. You'll say you loved The Code of The Alpha as it was and that it was one of your favorite books on Wattpad. And to that I say thank you. But I won't be lending to the toxic relationship model that Wattpad werewolf novels tend to promote any longer.

That doesn't mean this book is perfect. The romance portrayed and the characters written will have their flaws. I might be a fantasy author but I'm not a writer of fairytales.

Lastly, I want to thank you for reading my book

Lastly, I want to thank you for reading my book. It means a lot to me that people take the time out of their day to invest in something that I genuinely love to do. So, again, thank you for being here and for giving my story a shot. I promise to make it worthwhile :)

See ya!
