“Hey, babe.” Hades greeted me when he saw me sitting on one of the sofa inside his office. Hindi lang sa mundo ng mga tao uso ang opisina.
I’m reading a book that relates to the Greek Mythology. Tumingin lang ako sa kaniya kaya lumapit naman ito sa akin at binigyan ako ng isang halik sa labi.
“How’s your day?” tanong ko sa kaniya at umupo naman ito sa tabi ko. “It’s fucking tiring day. This is not usual on my daily routine.” he said and exhaustion is visible to his voice. I tap my lap and he looks at me then to my lap. “Anong gagawin ko diyan?” maang na tanong niya kaya inikutan ko siya ng mga mata.
“I didn’t know that the King of the Dead is a slow poke.” I commented and he smirked at me.
“But this slow poke can make your scream until you reach the Olympus.” he counter attacked. Biglang nag-init ang magkabilaang pisngi ko. “E-ewan ko sayo!” singhal ko sa kaniya at akma akong tatayo nung bigla siyang humiga at ginawang unan ang mga hita ko.
“Ahh I’m home.” he whispered kaya napatigil ako sa pag-iisip at natutulalang napatitig sa mukha niya. Up until now I can’t believe on what is happening right now to me kasi it was all new to me.
Kung dati pumupuri ako ng mga gwapong lalaki at inihahalintulad sila sa mga Olympian Gods and Goddesses now I saw one of the members of their race at malayong-malayo sa description ko sa mga tao kumpara sa kagwapuhan at kagandahan na taglay nila.
Napaka perperkto ng kaniyang mukha. Hindi nakakasawang titigan ang kaniyang pagmumukha.
“You’ve got the rest of your life staring at my handsome face, babe. Don’t worry.” napalunok ako at napaiwas ng tingin sa sinabi niya. “Akala ko ba tulog ka?” iyon na tanong ang napili kong sabihin. “Says who? I’m just taking a rest.” he said.
“May tanong ako, Hades.” sambit ko na lang bigla. Shit! Anong itatanong ko? Bakit naman kasi mas nauuna ang bibig ko kesa sa utak ko?! Aish. “What is it, babe? And guess what? it’s good to hear your mouth mentioning my name.” he said and I bite my lower lip.
“A-ano kasi… m-maari ko bang bisitahin ang pamilya ko sa mundong ibabaw?” tanong ko sa kaniya. “Saka gusto ko ring kunin ang mga iba ko pang damit du’n hindi naman habang-buhay akong naka-suot ng dress.” sabi ko sa kaniya. He opened his eyes.
He stared me with his damn captivating eyes.
“Sure. But we need to seek the approval of Zeus.” he stated kaya kumunot ang aking noo. “Why?” I asked out of curiosity. Nagkibit balikat siya. “We may be the ruler of this realm but we still need the approval of the God of the Gods which is Zeus.” he answered kaya napatango na lang ako sa kaniya.
“There is no such thing like politics here. Because we are equally divided on which part we will take and rule for the rest of our lives. Just like humans who follow laws, we have also rules here and we must follow them or else we’ll be punished.” he said.
“Ano naman ang punishments?” tanong ko sa kaniya.
“It depends of the crime your committed. But do you know what is the most painful one? When you committed that crime, you’ll be sending in the world of humans and live there as human. You will be ousted in our world and live your life in the realm humans who suffers and starve to death. Then you will die there and you’ll cease to exist.” he answered.
“Hindi na mapupunta dito sa Underworld?” tanong ko sa kaniya and he shook his head. “You will just disappear like a bubble.” he replied and popped ‘p’. I smiled at his gesture, seems like a kid. “What is that crime then?” tanong ko ulit. “When you killed the gods and goddesses.” he answered. Napatango naman ako du’n.
“Pasensya na ang dami kong tanong.” tanging sambit ko at tinignan naman niya ako. Mata sa mata. “It’s fine. Uh, about your plan in visiting your family there. I’ll talk to Zeus.” he said at bumangon na sa pagkakahiga. “Pupunta ka sa Mt. Olympus?” tanong ko sa kaniya and he shook his head then chuckled afterwards.
“Don’t worry I won’t go there. We have this thing called magical water.” he said and walked towards somewhere.
