Luna's POV
It was a peaceful night here in my room, the people outside haven't yelled at each other or shot anyone, and it made me feel a bit more relaxed
it was really cold and I was really hungry too, but I couldn't do anything but sit in the empty room curled up to keep me a bit warm and close my eyes
"... Luna" I woman said softly, and when I opened my eyes the place was more colorful, and bright, and to my side was my mom holding a tray with many pastry's
"...mommy?" I stood up and walked to her
"What's wrong Luna, you look sad?" My mom asked concerned
I didn't answered, and instead hugged her crying in her dress, and my mom put the tray down and hugged me back cleaning my tears as well
"It's ok sweetie, there's nothing to cry about"
"It's... Because I want to go home, I want you and Daddy back..."
"Don't worry, remember that there's always something there to protect us" she said giving me a bun "come on eat up" she said cheerfully and I took a nibble of it, it was sweet with a dash of my mother's love in it, and silent tears came down my face
I then noticed my mom was gone and I looked around for her, and outside the door I saw my mom's shadow sitting down on her knees and another shadow behind her with a gun in it's hand, and when I realized what was happening I got up and ran towards the door, only for it to close and lock me in
"No... Please no" I said as I desperately tried to open the door "MOMMY!"
*Bang* a loud shot was heard, waking me up from the dream earlier, and I sat up shaking as more gunshots where heard
Then all of a sudden it stopped, but footsteps where heard, each step sounding closer and closer, and the light from outside the room was blocked by two small shadows, and the doorknob was turning scaring me slightly
And then in came a guy with a gun pointed at me, but instead of being afraid I just stared at him, waiting to die by the gun, but after a few seconds he put the gun down and dropped it
"Are you alright?" He asked, but I wasn't able to answer, and the guy came and wrapped his sweater around me "don't worry, I'll get you out of here" and he carried me in his arms taking me away from the room
And as he took me away I felt a bit scared as to who this person was and where he was taking me to, I wanted to run away but I felt really tired and weak, so I just silently cried in the guys shoulder, and soon I felt a hand soothing my hair
"It's ok, nothing is gonna hurt you" he said as he kept walking, and it calmed me down a little "are you hungry?" He asked and after a while I slightly nodded
Time later
After a long walk, we made it to a small house that was in the middle of a building, and he sat me down in the kitchen counter while he was looking in his fridge, and my stomach grumbled when I saw the food inside
"Ok, while I heat this up, eat this" he said giving me an apple, and I grabbed it while he put some things in the microwave and pressed some buttons
After time I took a bite in the apple, it was sour but I didn't care about it's taste and ate it anyways and when I was done I heard the microwave beep, and the guy got the thing out and grabbed a spoon
Then he grabbed a spoonful of what the bowl had and blew on it "open up" he said and I opened my mouth allowing the guy to feed me, it had a funny bland taste, but it was good, and he kept feeding me again until the bowl was empty, and then he got a napkin and cleaned my mouth gently
"There you go, are you still hungry?" He asked and I shake my head no "fine, then it's time to go take a bath" he said as he put the bowl aside and carried me again
Then after the bath I felt much more clean, and the guy gave me a small shirt that was a bit to big for me
"Ill get you something to ware later, but for now this will do" he said as he took me to another room, it had a bed with a fluffy blanket "now, it's time for you to go to sleep while I tend to some business" he said as he laid me in the bed and tucked me in, and before he was able to leave I grabbed his finger "...what's wrong?" He asked, and I didn't want to let him leave
"... please don't go" I asked worried and he started to rub my hair
"Fine" he then got a box near by and sat down "I'll just wait here, but go to sleep"
"You won't leave, right?"
"Don't worry, I'll stay with you until your asleep" he said finally showing a small smile, and it helped me to sleep peacefully...
And all of a sudden, I was back at my old house, the day was shining brightly, and everything seemed normal, I noticed I was in my old room as well, so I got out and headed to the living room
"Good morning Luna" someone said, and I turned to see my dad next to me, and he got to my hight level and gave me a hug "how did you sleep?"
"... I slept fine, I just had a bad dream"
"Oh don't worry, the important thing is that it's all over now, so how about we go see what's mom doing" he asked and I nodded yes, then he carried me and took me to the kitchen, and when we got there we saw mom cooking
"Good morning you two, hungry?" She asked
"Always" dad replied, and when he put me down we heard a knock on the door "I'll get it" he said and left, and short after a gunshot was heard, it scared me and my mom grabbed me to hide under the sink, but before se was able to do that, a man in a mask came in and pulled her away, and he pointed the gun at her and shot her in front of me...
"Mommyyyyy!!" I shouted as I started crying as well, I noticed I was alone I'm the room and it scared me even more, but the guy that got me away from the bad people came in a rush
"What's wrong!?" He said but I kept crying, and then I felt him wrap his arms around me, and I began to cry in his shirt
"Mommy... Daddy... There gone"
"There there, everything is alright" he said while keeping the hug tight, and after a while I calmed down and the guy cleaned my tears away "there, what happened, why where you crying"
"My parents... There dead, but I want them here with me, I don't want to be alone..." I said about to cry, but the guy grabbed my cheek making me face him
"It's ok kid, you won't be alone, because I'll take care of you" he said softly making me feel better
"Really, you'll be my new family?"
"Of course, I did promise your parents that if they ever needed anything I'll help them out, so do you want me to be your family?" He asked and I hugged him by surprise as I started to cry a little again
"Thank you mister"
"No need for formalities, just call me (Y/N)" he said and I excitedly nodded at him "great, now time for bed" he said putting back in the bed "good night kid" he said tickling my nose
"Good night (Y/N)" and he left leaving the door open for me, and after so long I was able to feel something I haven't felt before, safe with my family
