Now mind you I couldn't stop smiling as I made this chapter. Writing different hermits was fun. ^•^

This takes place before the boomers destroyed the abandoned ship for Keralis.

~~~Tango's POV~~~
"Hey Tango,"
I looked up from my communicator to find Bdubs standing right in front of him like an eager little boy. I placed both of my feet off the table and sat up straight. "Yeah Bdubs?"
The hermit played with his fingers and said, "I saw that toons tower structure you built the other day and thought that it actually looked cool."
Surprise by the sudden compliment, I smiled for the appreciation, "Why thank you Bdubs, glad you liked it!"
"And did I mention that mustache of yours suits you to a tee? For such a good looking guy to pull of the ol' Mumbo mustache power!" He clasped his hands together and smiled.
"Oh I- uh-umm... t-thankyou I guess? I stuttered a few of my words. I awkwardly went back to my communicator but I couldn't shake the feeling that Bdubs is still watching me intently, like an eagle waiting for it's prey. I turned around again and stared at the hermit, confused.
"Do you, need anything? Pops?" I blurted out the nickname which made things even more awkward when the man winced from the nickname, but ended up smiling again. "Oh nothing much! Just here to compliment my dear friends.." he replied.
Impulse huffed as he entered the room with a heavy shulker box near his chest and dropped them gently on the ground as gunpowder particles were airborne. "There we go, crafted some tnt. Now we can go complete Keralis' request!" Impulse exclaimed, wiping the extra gunpowder on his sleeve.
As I stood up from my chair, I was about to say something to the redstoner until Bdubs rushed pass me, grabbed both Impulse's hands and stared at him with sparkly eyes. It was like an anime scene all over again!
"ImpulseSV! You are a hardworking member of this team! I never doubt your shoveling skills and I never will! In fact, you are just as amazing as Tango, as amazing as everyone!-" Bdubs kept ranting anything positive about the two of them till Impulse actually looked terrified.
"Umm- Bdub-s? I'm not s-saying I'm appreciating the complimen-" Impulse kept stuttering nervously.
I tapped the boomer's shoulder until I got his attention from his endless compliments. "Okay BdoubleO, what do you want from us?" I said straightforward, which caught the man off guard. "W-What-"
"No need to hide it Bdubs," I scoffed "I know when someone wants something. Zedaph sweet talks me or anyone into helping him with his so called 'experiments' every single time." Impulse chuckled at the thought.
Bdubs stayed silent for a while, before slowly clapping his hands with a little smirk on his face, "So I'm sweet talking huh? Keralis is really rubbing it off on me."
I just rolled my eyes and folded my arms together, "Okay Bdubs, what do you want from us?" I asked cautiously.
"You know..." Bdubs acted shyly, before finally giving up the fake innocence. "I want to lead the next operation." he replied, leaving me and Impulse confused. "What?" we both said in sync.
"I want to to try making a tnt contraption for our next request, Keralis request. I want my turn to make the ship explode!" He exclaimed, then turned to us and gave eager little eyes.
Me and Impulse stared at each other for a while, sharing doubtful looks. Bdubs noticed the looks and we a tired sigh, turned his gaze at the opposite direction and mumbled;
"Please? So I can prove to you guys that I can still do a bit of redstone?"
Impulse frowned sadly at the last statement. He shared another look at me before forming a little considerate smile on his face and sighed. "Fine..will let you explode the next request.
Bdubs hastily brought his head back up with a flabbergasted expression, it was like he was so prepared for rejection that he wasn't ready for approval. "Ohh wait really-well then.. heh." He chuckled nervously, "I guess... I'll be waiting for you two downstairs." He replied calmly.
Once he took off down the stairs, both me and Impulse shared another look and gazed at each other full of doubt and regret. "Are we actually gonna do this?" I laughed nervously.
Our nervousness left when we heard the cries of "YES" and "WOHOOOS" or any sounds of bubbly excitement coming from below the room. Both of us giggled at the man's outburst excitement, "I guess we are gonna do this," he replied back.
But then the sounds of someone coming upstairs echoed till Bdubs came back from view.
"And by the way. Everything I said a while ago was true, both of you are really great people, all the hermits are. Whether it was used for convincing you guys or not, none of it is a lie and I just want to clear that up for you two." Bdubs reassured and beamed at us warmly before descending back down the stairs.
Our cheeks were slightly flushed pink from the... rather little comeback. And whether it was true that the hermits are great, Bdubs was a great guy too...
"Okay let's stop daydreaming and get back to work!" I cried out.
