The subway zoomed past you, making your    (h/l) , (h/c) hair blow fiercely in the wind.

It was late September and the air was chilly and a light breeze made the leaves outside float around in the air. You held on tightly to your suitcase and tried to distract yourself by scrolling through Insta on your phone.

The beats from your headphones started drowning out sounds around you. Until you could only hear the humming of the subway rushing past the tracks.

You couldn't help but notice how different the environment here was.

Your father had to rush to his new office straight away from the airport, so he handed you a train ticket and your new house keys so you could head home.

You could still vividly remember the last day of school, you had a relatively small circle of friends but they still couldn't help but ask when you'd come to visit.

"I'm afraid I can only come to visit every Christmas." you said solemnly.

"So Christmas party with drinks when you come back?" Your bestfriend Reagen teased.

That had made a small smile cross your face.
"Yeah, yeah do whatever."

You finally looked away from your phone and took a deep breath. Your train would arrive soon, and you didn't wanna miss it. As usual you started scanning your surroundings. This was all very new for you so you had to get a glimpse around. Suddenly your eyes fell on the bench next to where you were standing.
A guy who seemed to be near your age was sitting there with his legs cross cross apple-sauced on the bench.

"He sits kinda weird," you thought to yourself.

Just as you thought this, he made eye contact with you. You quickly looked away.
"God why are you so awkward (y/n) Kim?",you thought to yourself.
Now a random stranger thinks you have a staring problem. From the corner of your eye you could make out his golden-brown eyes, still studying you. He had a small smirk painted across his face. You quickly looked away, and felt your ears get hot in embarrassment.

"Crap he saw me staring again!"

You started to slowly move away from where you were standing, afraid that you had already made the atmosphere way too uncomfortable. You could still see his puzzled face. The bleached blond tips of his hair were barely covering his eyes, as he continued to stare at you. Soon you felt another strong wind hit your face as you hair wildly blew past you.
Your train had finally arrived.

"Thank god that train finally came. I can't bear standing near that boy any longer." you thought as you quickly headed towards the train.

"Oi, you! Yes, you the weird chick!"

You heard a voice call out.
"He couldn't have been talking about me," you thought as your heart thumped violently against your chest.

But you stood corrected as you saw the guy from earlier start to approach you.
"Haha... uh me?" you asked in a quiet voice.

He nodded, as he came closer you were able to take a glimpse at his uniform.

It was a volleyball uniform.

"Is he on some kind of team?"

As he came closer, he seemed to tower above you.
You were about average height, yet he seemed much much taller.

"Can't help but notice that you kept staring at me," he said as a grin spread across his face.

He seemed cocky, and that irritated you.

"I- oh u-uh," you managed to say, "I was just looking around I guess."
Your nervousness makes him chuckle.

"Looks like someone has a stuttering problem huh?"
he asked, as he held his jacket over his shoulder.
Without another thought you backed away, falling into the subway. As you fell your scarf dropped on the subway station, right in front of the guy.

"Oh hey wait!" you yelled out, but the doors of the train had already closed.

"What's your name?"

You saw the guy mouth. But before he got an answer, the train zoomed away.
