Isang ngiti ang ginawad ko kay Tita Belle pagdating namin sa opisina niya. Katulad noong huling pagkikita namin, nandoon pa rin ang pagiging mataray at suplada niya. Kaya naman nag-effort na akong magsuot ng mas formal na damit para sa ego ng babaeng ito.

"Tita, ito lahat ng legal na documents ni Amber. Katulad ko, she graduated HRM and has a some experiences in my family restaurant," sambit ni Lorraine na katabi ko ngayon. "She is already an orphan. She has no responsibility other than herself. She's clear and free."

Okay, Lorraine and I created a made-up life story of mine para hindi ma-trace ni tita ang totoo kong pagkatao. Naninigurado lang kami dahil sinabi ko na sa kaniya na pagkatapos nito ay iiwasan ko as much as possible ang mga Ledesma. Kaya naman kailangan maging maingat ako sa mga gagawin at sasabihin ko sa kaniya.

Napatingin naman ako sa lalaking nakatayo sa tabi ni Tita Belle. Narinig kong Echo ang pangalan niya at siya ang naging temporary secretary ni Tita Belle for some time.

"As expected of you Lorraine you always prepared. This is why I trust you," bilib na sabi ni Tita Belle at binigay kay Echo ang folder. "And here is our CV as well."

Biglang may pinatong na makapal na libro sa lamesa si Echo. No way. Is she for real?

"Tita talagang ipapabasa mo sa kaniya 'to? She will just be your assistant for short time, no need to do this."

"Kaya mas magandang alam niya ang patakaran ko."

Well, I already knew what's inside. Isang makapal na libro tungkol sa history and rules ng Casa Ledesma. I was able to read this after meeting her for the first time...years ago. Tutol nga si Neon na basahin ko ang policies and regulations ng buong hotel dahil sa mga empleyado lang 'yon. But what can I do, she treats me like a subordinate.

"Raine, wala namang masama kung malaman ko ang mga patakaran. If the book can help me do my job, I will take it."

"Mabuti naman marunong makinig ang babaeng 'yan. I hope and expect that she'll understand all of the rules written."

"Of course naman tita," ngiwing sabi ni Lorraine. "She's capable of doing something."

May binigay na kontrata sa amin si Echo para pirmahan. Isang copy sa akin, kay Lorraine at kay Tita Belle. All the terms were cleared so we signed it immediately.

After that, Lorraine had a private conversation with tita. Sinamahan naman ako ni Echo sa labas para ipakita ng magiging desk ko at i-tour sa buong hotel.

"Inalis na namin mga naiwang gamit ng dating secretary ni Ma'am Belle. You can put yours and decorate the desk whatever you want," paliwanag niya. It was spacious enough for me. Then he handed me a tablet. "You can use your own laptop if you do not want the desktop but this tablet is exclusively for OVP's schedule. Nasa rule book naman ang mga policies. Hope you do a good job."

Sinamahan niya akong maglibot sa hotel. Actually, familiar pa rin naman sa akin ang hotel kahit na marami ng nagbago. Iba na ang kulay ng building at interior design. I remember they opt to have a mediterranean vibe but now it speaks of a royal palace. Red and Gold, ibang-iba sa disenyo ng Amber's abode na inspired of nature meets city life.

He toured me around the building we are in. He seems nice and approachable. Siguro dahil kasama namin kanina si Tita Belle kaya parang strict din.

Bumaba kami sa lobby para ipakita sa aking ang buffet area ng hotel. This part was new to me, it is much bigger and wider.

"As you already know, Ma'am Lorraine and Sir Ace partnered with Ma'am Belle to cater to the buffet area. Two years na rin," sambit ni Echo.

Yep, na-mention nga sa akin ni Lorraine ang tungkol do'n.
