"Don't do it..." Donghyuck's hoarse voice echoed as Jeno turned his head to him, his eyes narrowed.

"W-What?" He'd ask

"What do you mean, Lee Donghyuck? You'll die! Both of you will die! Stop being selfish, will you?!" Renjun finally snapped, earning all of the attention from the boys, eyeing their eldest in shock.

"Hyung stop-"

"You're starting to act just like your parents," he yelled senselessly, causing Donghyuck's eyes to widen the moment Renjun mentioned his parents
"We're just trying to help you, yet you just keep being so stubborn"

Tears slowly welled up in Donghyuck's eyes as he remembered it again

"Mom, dad. Don't leave me please..."
A young boy spoke, his lips trembling as he did so, tears welling up in his eyes

There his parents stood, on the edge of a 30 story building.

The cold air blowing and hitting their skin.
"Just don't say anything, Lee Donghyuck" His dad- Lee Soohyuk- yelled at him.

"Will you jump by yourself?" A man wearing a black coat asked.

"Or, we'll push you ourselves?" The man added, followed by a smirk curving on the corner of his lips and laughter coming from his group

The 5 year old Donghyuck, still having an innocent mind, couldn't understand what was happening
"With that, I'll let your son witness his mother and father's death"  The man chuckled

Donghyuck's cheeks were stained with tears, continuously yelling and begging his parents to stay with him.
He tried to get near to his parents and stop them but the chains that were attached around wrists held him back.

"Haechan... Listen to me please" His mother- Lee Dongjin- yelled as she choked on her own tears
The young and innocent boy's eyes were gleaming, not knowing that this would be the last moment he would see his parents

"Don't be like us, Haechan. Please live happily without us," she yelled through the distance

"Live your life to the fullest," Dongjin paused, gulping down the lump in her throat

"Always remember that I love you so much, my little sun." She managed to smile sadly

"I know that this will be the last time, so please smile for me, my Haechannie"

Donghyuck couldn't do anything else but to smile, he wanted to hug his mother, but then again, he couldn't

"We love you so much, Haechan"

With that, they stepped backwards, letting their bodies fall, their feet no longer touching the concrete ground; slowly disappearing from the young boy's sight.

The people below the building screamed and panicked as they saw two dead bodies on the road, their own blood pooled around them; soaking up their clothes. Their eyes slowly closing, as people started to call the hospital for an ambulance.

But everything was too late.

They didn't survive.

Those were the most painful minutes of his life, watching his parents die in front of his eyes. Hearing their last words, seeing those tears in his mother's eyes. His dad trying to keep a straight face despite the mixed emotions he was feeling.

It scarred him for good. Having terrible nightmares of his parents' death over and over again.

It was catastrophic

Renjun finally came back to his senses, as he blinked his eyes, wanting to take back what he just said

Tears were falling from Donghyuck's eyes, remembering that moment all over again.

"I'd rather die than to be Yoonsu's soulmate,"

"Because she doesn't deserve to be with a messed up person like me."
