"Morning Kate, how did you sleep last night?" Steph Houghton asks me as I grab myself a cup of coffee from the breakfast area

"really well actually, Lauren is a pretty good roommate," I tell the captain

"good, she can be a bit much sometimes but the pair of you seemed close last night," She tells me, a small smile on her face

"Yeah, Lauren and I sort of hit it off yesterday, I think we're quite similar in some ways," I say to Steph

"Just don't let her pull you into any pranks," She says winking at me quickly and heading off to her table.

I get the rest of my food and steaming cup of coffee before taking a seat next to my roommate and Rachel who seems to be deep in conversation with everyone

"and then the next thing I know, bam I'm being thrown to the floor" Rachel explains throwing her hands up into the air for effect

"What did you expect Rach, you tried to take on a 6 foot 5 guy all by yourself," Leah says shaking her head at the Houston player

"he was hitting on my girl! I wasn't going to stand there and do nothing" She exclaims loudly

"is she telling the nightclub story again?" I ask coming to sit down

"Yeah? How did you know about it?" Jordan asks me

"she tells every single person she sees about it just because she wants someone to agree with her" I explain with a smirk on my face for exposing her

"Ahaha Rachel you've just been exposed hard!" Millie says laughing at her best friend who's glaring at me

"That was mean speedy, I thought we were friends," She says waving her bands between us

"We are Rachey, I just have to keep you in line, girlfriends order," I say patting her head and sipping at my coffee

"Kate you're now my new favourite person," Jordan says laughing loudly

"Can I get your attention for a second ladies" Phil shouts from the front of the room.

Everyone shuffles to get a better look at the manager and wait for him to tell us the news he has

"As you all know it is photo day so we're going to take you in groups at a time to have your makeup done and they you'll change," Phil says and everyone nods their head like they've done it before

"Okay up first we've got Steph, Millie, Georgia, KB and Kate please," He says and I follow the other players out the room.

"How does this normally go then?" I ask Georgia since she's the one I'm friendliest with here

"Its nothing fancy really, we get changed into our kits and then let our makeup and hair be done before standing in a bunch of poses" She explains to me

"Oh okay, I've done that before back in the US, my Orlando ones are awful though," I say chuckling to myself

"I'm sure you look great, I don't think it's possible for you to ever look bad," She says confidently as I try to cover the red appearing on my cheeks.

I think she realised what she's just said because she turns to look at me in shock her mouth slightly opens as she tries to get her words out

"I'm sorry if that was too far, I just meant it as a compliment," She says in her cute British accent

"It's okay, don't worry about it and if we're giving each other compliments you look pretty most of the time too," I say making her laugh

"Only most of the time?" She says jokingly as I push her shoulder lightly
