"who's got you all smiley?" Ash asks plopping herself down next to me on the couch
"Just the girls from camp, Lauren sent a picture of her doing karaoke with her roommate" I say laughing at the video again
"They seem like really nice girls, I'm glad you're staying close with them" Ash tells me
"Me too, I feel like I've never had may friends my age and even though I'm the youngest I still get on really well with them" I reply to Ash honestly.
"I'm happy you've got that, I feel like you never got to experience you're teenage years" She says looking at me sadly
"Auntie Ash don't get like that, you know I was more than happy to have grown up the way I did, I wouldn't be here otherwise" I tell her
"I know kiddo, I just want you to live a little and not be stuck with us oldies all day long" She says with a slight smile on her face
"You calling your wife old Ash, she's not going to be happy about that" I reply with a slight smirk on my face
"Don't you dare kid" Ash warms me as her finger points right at me face
"Auntie Ali! Ash called you old!" I yell at the top of my voice as I quickly jump from my seat
"You're so dead!" Ash shouts back and starts chasing after me around the house.
I do my best to escape her, weaving my way in and out of the table and chairs and I eventually make my way to the back garden where mom and Ali are lying on the sun beds together
"mom! Save me please!" I shout as I run up and hide behind her
"Ash why are you chasing your niece around our house" Ali asks her wife crossing her arms with a disapproving look
"Because she screamed out loud that I called you old!" Ash exclaims in reason for chasing me around
"I'm sorry you called me what now?" Ali asks
"busted" I whisper quietly with a smirk on my face as Ash suddenly turns a different colour
"I didn't mean it like that, Kate and I were just talking and I called us all old actually" Ash starts to explain
"you called me old too Ashlyn" Mom now says using her full name
"you're digging the hole further here Auntie Ash, just stop while you're ahead" I tell her trying to not burst out laughing right here
"It's you're fault anyways! I'm just going to go now" Ash says backing the other way but not before Ali is following behind her
"excuse me Michelle Harris, I want to know why you where calling your wife old" Ali says just as she goes out of our view
"you've only been in England for a week and you're already causing mayhem" Mom says to me as I take Ali's old seat
"I can't help it, they're funny over there" I say with a smile on my face
Mom just smiles back and suddenly pulls me in for a hug, not knowing where it came from I just wrap my arms around her anyway.
"I'm glad you're happy Kate, I miss seeing that smile of yours" Mom tell me as she plants a small kiss on the top of my head
"I was so stressed trying to get picked for the national team that I just lost track of everything else and then when Jill gave me the call and I joined England I realised I am good enough and I don't need one coach to control my whole life" I say to mom
"Well I'm proud of you, you're dad and I are just happy that you're happy, it's all we want" She tells me and I let out a small chuckle at that
"It's still a bit weird hearing you call yourself and Serv my mom and dad" I say to her as I hear it
