The aftermath

"Bye guys, see you tomorrow morning" I wave to the girls as they finally leave the house.

I turn around to see Georgia cleaning up the area we were all sitting in, collecting the cups and snacks and putting it into the trash. I decide to go over and help her, finding the silence to be slightly awkward.

I take the empty cups towards the sink and do the same with the few bowls. Somehow Georgia and I managed to reach for the same piece of rubbish together causing our hands to brush past each other

"s-sorry" I stutter out laughing awkwardly at the tension

"no no, you're fine," She tells me, smiling back just as sheepishly

"I'll take it honestly," I say picking up the rubbish

"Thanks, sorry you're stuck on clean up duty" She replies

"Hey it's not a problem, you're letting me stay here so it's the least I could do," I tell her with a smile in my face

After that brief conversation, it goes back to silence again until the place is finely back to some sort of normality. I let out a sigh and place my hands on my hips not realising how exhausting it is to clean up, thank God I've got my mom and Aunts.

"We should probably head to bed, it's pretty late and we've got to be up early for the flight," Georgia tells me, snapping me out my little daze

"Good idea, let me grab m-" I go to say but I'm cut off by my phone ringing

"Its Rachel?" I say confused as to why the Houston player is calling me

"You answer that and I'll get ready for bed don't worry" Georgia tells me and leaves me alone to answer the phone

"Hey Rach, is everything okay?" I ask concerned that something may be up

"Is everything okay! Bitch no it's not I heard the you and Little G kissed!" She exclaims down the phone making my eyes go wide

"How in the hell do you know about that, it literally happens like 2 hours ago!" I whisper yell down the phone going further into the kitchen so my current roommates don't overhear the topic of conversation

"I know everything no matter where I am, but that's not important what is important is the fact you guys kissed!" She screams excitedly, so loud I have to remove the phone from my ear slightly

"Jesus Rachel, the whole of Houston is going to know soon," I tell her sarcastically

"Tell me what happened, I mean I already know but I want to hear it from you" She squeals to me

"you're a child Rachel" I sigh out but take a deep breath and glance around the room to check Georgia hasn't come in

"We were playing truth and dare and I was dared to kiss someone in the room. I wasn't going to kiss any of the veteran players that would be weird so I only had Kiera, Lauren and Georgia left." I explain

"Makes sense, it would be weird if you'd kissed Steph," Rach tells me and I scrunch my nose up at the thought of that

"Anyway I wasn't going to kiss Keke, she's with Luc and I love her too much to do that. And Lauren is like my sister so it would have been really gross." I tell her

"So that only left your girl Georgia then," Rach says and I can practically hear the smirk down the phone.

"exactly" I sigh out

"Well what did she say after you guys did it then?" Rach asks expectantly

"That's the thing Rach, we haven't spoken about it all!" I whisper shout
