Chapter 12: Back to Auradon

Heidi's POV

I say goodbye to Panic and Bandit as Hadie opens the door leading to the surface. "Hadie, I will be right there I need to talk to Panic." Hadie nods his head as he walks through the door to the surface leaving me alone with Panic. "You know that you hate long goodbyes Princess." Panic says getting to smile, "I just wanted to ask your option on something." Panic nods his head and stands there waiting for my question. "Ever since I stepped foot back on the Isle I can't help get this feeling like I don't belong here anymore." Panic smiles me as he takes a deep breath,

"That answer is simple Heidi, the Isle is not the same place anymore because we have entered a new era of peace." I take a deep breath giving Panic one last hug wishing that he would come to Auradon with me because I have this feeling deep in my heart that Ben would benefit from the words of wisdom of Panic, but then again I think that is why he values Ally's option so much. "Heidi! We need get going!" Hadie yells as I take a deep breath before walking through the door to the surface and Hadie closes it. 

"That was not I was expecting when I thought of returning home." I laugh nodding my head as I wrap my arms around my brother. "What's got you all sappy and mushy?" Hadie asks lighting pushing me away with a grossed out look on his face. "I guess I am just amazed at how much we have changed since the last time we were here." Hadie rolls his eyes as he tries to contain the smile that threatens to appear on his face. "Feels like a life time ago." I nod my head looking into my brothers eyes, "Did I ever tell you thank you." Hadie gives a weird look as he raises one of his eyebrows at me,

"Thank me for what exactly?" I smile at him as I stand in front of my brother, "For not just being my older brother but also being my best friend in the whole world." Hadie makes a fake gagging sound and I know that he isn't one to show his softer side to people but I owe him a lot. "Do you remember the song that you used to sing to me when I was little and was scared of pretty much everything?" Hadie gives me that look telling me that I should stop while I am ahead but I think what I really need right now is to see my brother smile. 

Heidi: You've got a friend in me. {I start singing as Hadie rolls his eyes.} You've got a friend in me. {I grab his hands and start swaying trying to get him to loose up.} When the road looks rough ahead. {Hadie growls at me ripping his hands away from me.} And you're miles and miles from your nice warm bed. {I hit him in his shoulder as the grim look still stays plastered on his face.} You just remember what your old pal said. {Hadie goes to leave but before he can get too far I grab his hand.} Boy, you've got a friend in me. {I look Hadie in his eyes giving him my best puppy dogs eyes like I would do when we were little.} Yeah, you've got a friend in me. {Hadie sighs as he gives into me and my puppy dogs eyes.} 

Hadie and Heidi: You've got a friend in me. {I smile as Hadie starts singing with me.} You've got a friend in me. {Hadie picks me up and places me on his feet.} If you got troubles, I got them too. {Hardie places one his hand on my lower back and takes my hand in his other hand.} There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you. {I place one of my hands on his shoulder and with my other hand I lace out fingers together.} We stick together, we can see it through. {Hadie and I start dancing around the streets of the Isle which reminds me of all the times that we would do this same thing when Hardie would teach me how to slow dance.} 'Cause you've got a friend in me. {I step off his feet as the two of us keep singing and dancing.} Yeah, you've got a friend in me. {I let out a large sigh as I place my head on my brother's chest and closing my eyes letting myself relax for a moment.}

Heidi: Some other folks might be a little bit smarter than I am. {I sing running my hand through my once blond hair.} 

Hadie: Bigger and stronger too, Maybe. {Hadie sings as he flexes his muscles.} 

Heidi and Hadie: But none of them will ever love you the way I do. {I wrap my arms around his neck as we sway back and forth.} It's me and you. {Out of the blue Hadie's hair suddenly flames up with catches me by surprise.} And as the years go by. {I run my hand through the flames which tickle my fingers.} Our friendship will never die. {Hadie booming laughter is heard like music to my ears to see him finally see him having some fun.} You're gonna see it's our destiny. {I twirl Hadie around as the two of laugh and start dancing side by side down the alleyway which gets some odd looks but we don't care.} You've got a friend in me. {People give Hadie and I odd looks but in this moment in time we don't care because we are having fun goofing off.}

Hadie: You've got a friend in me. {Hadie sings as he shows me that still has and still wears the necklace that I made him very long ago.} You've got a friend in me. {I grab his hand as he pulls me towards him twirling me around and brings me to his chest.} When the road looks rough ahead. {Hadie dips me then brings me back up before dipping me again on his other side and brings me back to my feet.} And you're miles and miles from your nice warm bed. {Hadie leans down giving me a small kiss on the cheek.} You just remember what your older brother said. {Hadie brings me back to my feet as he twirls around before bringing me back to him.} 

Heidi and Hadie: You've got a friend in me. {Hadie mouths to me that he hates me but I know that he really saying that he loves me.} You've got a friend in me. {I wrap my arms around him again giving him a tender hug.} You've got a friend in me. {Hadie spins me one last time but this time he lets me go.}

We stop singing and start laughing as we rejoin the others and all of them give us a confused look, "You two alright?" Harry asks me as he hands me Henry. I smile at Henry nodding my head, "Just having a little sister and big brother bonding moment, they don't happen too often." Harry runs his hand through his hair before taking my hand in his as we all start making our way over the bridge and back to Auradon.
