Hadie's POV
I am standing with Elden in my arms as Ella is helping everyone finish up getting ready for the celebration when I notice a young woman with platinum blonde hair with several different colored highlights steps next to me, "He is very precious Hadie." Says the young woman and when I turn to look at her I notice that she is wearing black stoned dangling earrings, a ghost grey colored dress with ruffles at the bottom, simple black high heels on her feet, and what really gives away her identity to me is the necklace around her neck with a pendent that is pair of scissors. "What are you doing here Faye?" I ask in a low growl turning my attention back to my son,
"I can see that you share your sisters dislike for me even when I have done nothing to either one of you." I roll my eyes wanting to snap and go off on her but with Elden here I can't. "Your family screwed over my family, and that is all there is to know." Faye sighs shaking her head, "What if I gave you a gift? It could be my way of trying to mending the past." I slowly turn my head towards Faye as my eyes go black like coal, "I don't want anything from you, now or ever." Faye places her hand on my shoulder,
"When I first came here to Auradon a young man named Mark showed me something that he said I could only reveal to a certain person at a certain moment in time." I snarl at her as I push her hand away from me and start walking away, "That person was you Hadie, and the time has come for you to see what I was shown." I turn my head around to tell her off but as she places her hands on my cheeks I feel myself zone out from everything around me.
I refocus my eyes to see that I am sitting on the bleachers on the tourney field, "What is going on?" I ask myself out loud but then my ears pick up on what sounds like a young man singing coming from the forest.
Young Man: You think you own whatever land you land on. {I stand up onto my feet and make my way off the bleachers and stop at the edge of the forest.} The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim. {I feel this invisible pull that is leading me into the forest.} But I know every rock and tree and creature. {I get this feeling in my heart that this owner of this voice is important to me.} Has a life, has a spirit, has a name. {I take a deep breath before entering the forest to try to find the source of this hypnotic voice.}
You think the only people who are people. {I wander through the forest following the singing that sounds close but yet far away at the same time.} Are the people who look and think like you. {I maneuver around forest trying to keep up with the voice.} But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger. {I look down at the ground to see that there footprints in the dirt.} You'll learn things you never knew you never knew. {I place my hand on a tree to catch my breath and when I do I feel something cold and slippery under my hand}
Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon. {Underneath my hand is ice and when I really start looking at the trees around me I notice that these footprints match up with certain trees that are covered in ice which makes me wonder who exactly I am dealing with.} Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned? {I follow the ice-covered trees as the voice gets louder when I hear the sound of crunching beneath my feet.} Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains? {I look down to see snow is covering the floor of the forest.} Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? {The forest start looking like a winter wonderland which seems out of place for summer time.}
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? {Things are getting weirder and weirder the closer I get to the owner of the voice.}
Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest. {I walk through a clearing to see that the snow has vanished and the forest has returned to normal.} Come taste the sun sweet berries of the Earth. {I take a moment to catch my breath again as I place my hand on the tree next to me only for me to yell in pain as I remove my hand and the feeling of getting burned rushes through my hand.} Come roll in all the riches all around you. {I look at my hand to see that I have been indeed burned and when I look at the tree I see the scorch marks on the tree and when I look down I see that the footprints have vanished and in their place is path that has been created by fire.} And for once, never wonder what they're worth. {Things are getting freaky and I wish I could wake myself from this nightmare but for some reason this feelings real.}
The rainstorm and the river are my brothers. {The voice start to fade away which makes me panic because without it I am sure enough going to get lost.} The heron and the otter are my friends. {I feel like I am now lost in this huge forest and don't know where to go next and I feel myself starting losing control of not just my powers but also of myself.} And we are all connected to each other. {Suddenly I feel myself relax more than I have been while my eyes start getting heavy.} In a circle, in a hoop that never ends. {I struggle to keep my eyes open but it is a losing fight until I close them and the strange feeling of falling under a spell comes over me.}
Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon. {I open my eyes to see that I am in the middle of clearing.} Or let the eagle tells you where he is been? {The voice sounds very close by almost like it is on the other side of the clearing.} Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains? {I jump over the small river and keep following the voice.} Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? {I feel something beneath feet to see a necklace on the ground.}
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? {I pick up the necklace to see that it is a special looking yin and yang symbol.}
How high will the sycamore grow? {I grip the necklace in my hand as I hear the voice just on the other side of this brush.} If you cut it down, then you'll never know. {I push the brush out of my way to see a painting like clearing but more importantly I see the young man with the hypnotic voice sitting by the water surrounded by scorch marks and ice.}
And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon. {He has black hair with streaks of sliver highlights on the fringe of his hair.} For whether we are white or copper skinned. {Ice blue eyes staring deep into the water but I can see the fear and sadness in them.} We need to sing with all the voices of the mountains. {He is wearing an open jean jacket with a mixture of flame and snow deign.} We need to paint with all the colors of the wind. {Underneath the jacket he is wearing a light blue T-shirt.}
You can own the Earth and still. {His pants are simply blue jeans.} All you'll own is Earth until. {And on his feet are a pair of black sneakers with light blue laces.}
You can paint with all the colors of the wind. {The young man places his hand in the water as it starts turning to ice.}
The young man finishing his song as he lets out a brings his knees up to his chest. "Hello?" I ask not wanting to scare the young man off, and when he his ice blue eyes lock with mine this protective nature come over me and the only other time I have ever felt like this is around Heidi and Ella.
