•Willow's POV•

We finished dinner about an hour ago and now the three of us were sitting on the swing on the front porch.Watching as the clear blue sky starts to fade into bright ombré of yellows, oranges, and reds.

"Did you have fun today?" Aaron asks Jack who was sitting between the two of us.

"Yeah! Thank you for the soccer ball!" He says with a giant smile as he snaps his head in my direction.

I pull him in for a small hug. Aaron softly smiles at the two of us.

"You're welcome, I'm glad you're still interested in playing."

I let go and Jack smiles big.

"Once I heal up maybe I can take you to the indoor soccer field?" I ask, glancing up at Aaron for approval.

Jack snaps his head towards his father.

"Can I?!" He asks excitedly.

"I don't see why not." He responds, making Jack smile even more.

The sky starts to get darker.
Aaron looks down at his watch.

"Hey bud, we need to head home soon."

Jack's smile turns into a frown.

"But I wanna stay longer." He whines.

"Buddy we cant we've got plans tomorrow and your bedtime is coming up." Aaron reasons.

"I don't wanna go." He pouts.

"I know you don't but we have to."

Jack looks up at me then looks back at Arron.

"Go get your Jacket, I'll be in." Aaron says softly.

Jack slides off the swing and heads inside.

"He's such a charm." I say with a soft smile as he heads inside.

"A stubborn one." He replies

"Father like son." I say looking up at him.

He smiles and we both go quiet for a moment.

"Okay, what's up?" I say breaking the brief silence.

"What?"

"The entire time we ate dinner and came out here you seemed nervous and you're never nervous. So what's up?" I ask.

He hesitates before answering.

"I-" He pauses.

"I know you're still healing, but I- was wondering if you'd be up for a date?" He asks nervously.

"A date?" I ask as a soft smile forms across my lips.

His cheeks turn a light pink and he gets flustered.

"Unless you don't want to. I just figured since we-" I stop him as he begins to stammer over his words.

"I'd love to." I say softly with a smile.

"When shall I expect this date?" I ask brightly.

"Next Friday?"

"It's a date." I respond in a light tone.

The both of us smile and he relaxes. I don't think I've ever seen him smile this much.

The front door opens and Jack comes out with his soccer ball and jacket in both hands.

"Ready bud?" Aaron asks as he leans forward on the swing.

Jack nods as he comes over to the both of us.
