Kabanata 18

"Guys ano ba. Let go of me, baka madulas ako." sabi ko habang pilit na winawaksi ang mga hawak sa akin nina Cindy at Jayjay.

"It'll be quick, wag ka na maarte hindi ka naman maganda." balik sa akin ni Jay. I rolled my eyes.

It's four in the afternoon and Cindy decided to have my maternity photoshoot. The sun is out and it's currently the golden hour, so Cindy decided to grab the chance to shoot.

"Why are we even doing this? It's your bachelorette party and you should have the spotlight not me." sabi ko, "And besides I already took a bunch of pictures with my belly." I argued.

But she doesn't look convinced. We stopped walking – or should I say, they stopped dragging me when we're finally at the beach. I was barefooted and I can feel the soft sands on my feet and the cold breeze of Amanpulo.

Cindy turned around with her camera on her hand. "The pictures you took–which I don't consider a proper picture ay puro selfies mo lang naman 'yon saka mirror selfies, tapos minsan belly mo lang pinapakita mo. You need a proper picture." aniya, "Bilisan mo, Hoy bakla." tawag niya kay Jay, "Ikaw mag ayos sa kanya tutal mahilig ka naman mag picture."

Jay giggled and went near me. I am wearing a flowy backless spaghetti strap dress with a thin cloth draping down at the back.

"Habang busy ka magreklamo, pinitas ko itong bulaklak sa garden." anito at pinakita sa akin ang isang dilaw na bulaklak. I was in complete awe for his efforts. "Flowers never fails to amaze me. Look, you're even more stunning." he said as he caressed my cheeks.

"Thank you, Jay." I smiled, "For everything." I said as he matched my smile.

"Okay let's start the shoot!" sigaw ni Cindy, dumistansya siya sa amin nang kaunti para kunan ang anggulo. Agad namang umalis si Jay.

Cindy fixed her camera for a while as the sun started to move down giving us a much better lighting than before. I looked at the ocean and was immediately drawn by the sunset in front of me.

They always say that sunsets are proofs that endings can often be beautiful too.

"Okay, para sa unang pose mo, put your hands around your tummy and look at it as you smile." Jay instructed, "And lift your other leg and point it out a little."

Sinunod ko ang sinabi niya and Cindy immediately took a shot as I do the pose. Our shoot lasted for about an hour. She told me it would make me glow even more, and when I saw the pictures, It all looked stunning. Meron pa nga akong stolen shot nang tumatawa ako habang hawak ang aking tyan. We also took a bunch of groupies together.

"Bakit hindi ka na lang pala nag-photography? It's your passion, you might as well make money from it." I told Cindy as we walked back to our casita.

She shrugged, "My parents doesn't approve of it. Lalo na't they have their own designing company, they want me to handle it. E, ayaw ko naman mauwi sa wala 'yung pinaghirapan nila, kaya sumunod na lang ako."

Cindy used to work for the same company me and Jay are in. She told me it's a good experience to learn from other companies before working for their own.

Me and Cindy chuckled, "Ang corny mo." I said and lightly smacked his arm.
