The party was bustling a lot better than I'd expected and I think I can say I'm a bit proud of my parents for hosting such a manageable party.

I hated coming for these parties because I was surely forced to wear gowns which I hated. They were so uncomfortable and to worsen it I had to wear heels, high heels. I would happily have to wear my jeans in place of these.

I was forced to attend the party because I had to model yesterday for my mothers new clothing line that she had opened along with a branch here in Lagos. I had to travel down all the way from Ibadan to Lagos without much of a heads up.

I woke up yesterday morning and got an annoying call from my mother requesting my urgent presence yesterday and in her party today. She's lucky that I had only two classes in the morning so I was able to drive down here later in the afternoon.

As early as possible tomorrow morning I'd be driving back down to Ibadan without a second thought. I don't think I want to spend more hours here having to face my mothers annoying guests in the morning. Trust me, no one wants to meet them.

I was starting to feel a bit pressed so I dropped the empty champagne glass and turned around. Moving through the floods of people was a lot harder than I thought especially when the people are chatting and laughing not even caring about the others around them.

Luckily no one saw me finding my way upstairs, I wasn't in the mood to answer questions. Given the fact that I was a final year college student and I'd be graduating in lesser than two months. Our final exams were starting in two weeks and preparing for it was really a tough job. Though I had the perfect grades and I'd surely be graduating with a First Class even if I didn't put so much effort into the exams but I just had to.

Finding my room, I entered and locked the door behind me and I immediately froze. My bedside lamp was on illuminating the room a little. I was sure I had put off the lights before I left the room earlier. I'd be more confident in facing whoever it was in the room but I'm wearing heels and a long gown which isn't appropriate for such an occasion.

My hands found the light switch and I turned around quickly and I froze for the second time. This stranger was none other than Ezzeh Andrew. The question is, what the hell was he doing in my room?

"What the hell are you doing in my room?" I voiced my thoughts.

"Hello to you too Riya" he said not even sparing me a glance as his gaze remained fixed on his phone.

"I've told you to stop bugging me Andrew, just leave me alone" I closed the gap between us. "Now what are you doing here?" I asked again.

"What do you think? There's an annoying party downstairs and I needed to get out of there. This is the only place I had access to that seemed quiet a bit." He stood up from the bed, putting his phone inside his pocket and keeping his hand there. "What about you?"

"A girl's gotta pee. Now I'd like it if you left my room, you can go to my sister's room, it should be open" I glared at him.

"It's locked" he rose a brow at me, silently urging me to speak again.

Jerk.

"Then just get lost, you'd be doing the world a favor" I kept my gaze on him.

"You should know me by now Riya, I'm not going anywhere" he sat back down on my bed and I growled at him.

True, he was not leaving my room until he wanted to and that made me hate him more, but what can I do?

I turned around and walked into my bathroom, making sure to lock the door behind me. I leaned on the counter looking at my reflection in the mirror. My hair still looked okay and my make up was a bit smeared, not that I cared anyway. I was only on it because my mother forced me.

I sighed heavily and a loose strand of my hair that was hanging in front of my face flew to the back. My mind went back to the grey eyed man in my room. He sure wasn't going to leave my room until he got tired.

Ezzeh Andrew is someone I've known since all my life. He has always been the pest in my life, he just wouldn't leave me alone, he stuck to me like a sore thumb. Yes he was drop dead gorgeous and his grey eyes just complemented his looks perfectly. He was half Nigerian, half American just like me and his eye color is just the icing on the cake.

I'm sure you've heard of black people who have eye colors that weren't brown or black, well Andrew was one of them.

I wanted nothing to do with him because I hated him more than coming to one of my parents parties. I'd prefer to attend my mother's parties all the days of my life than to spend a minute with Andrew.

Nature really hates me because we both got into the same University, studying the same course. We shared the same classes and we had to cross paths so many times. I had to stop trying to make friends because everyone that I got close to was somehow connected to him.

Luckily only two person I got close to had nothing to do with him, my bestfriends Adrian and Funke. They where in the same level as me but we were studying different courses.

I'm so happy that I'm graduating soon and I'd hopefully never have to see him again. That's if my parents don't decide to get us engaged for some business deal or something. I'd be so happy if they don't.

Just a few weeks more, I can do this.

I got on with my business and walked out of the bathroom and happily he was no longer in my room. I breathed a sigh of relief and walked to where my phone was plugged by the side of the bed. I plopped myself on my bed and kicked my shoes off, my feets were killing me.

I switched on my phone to see a new message from Adrian.

Adrian- Hey, how's the party going? Have fun :)

I dialed his number and he picked on the second ring.

"Hey" I said into the phone.

"Hey Riya, how's your party going?" he asked cheerfully.

He's sounding this way just to piss me off, he knows I hate these parties. "It's a lot better than the usual " I said truthfully "But that doesn't mean I'm enjoying it" I added.

"That's a good complement coming from you." I could imagine the smirk playing on his face now.

"But someone had to spoil my mood" I announced throwing my free hand in the air.

"Who?" he sounded worried.

"Who else but Andrew." I could taste the spite in my voice.

That's how bad he gets to me.

"It's like he lives off of bugging you"

"I won't be surprised" my hands found their way to my hair, tangling it a bit "I found him in my room when I had to get a bathroom break, I didn't lock my door because I was never expecting to see him here."

I always made sure I locked my door every party I knew he was going to be present.

"Is he out of there now?" Adrian sounded worried for me.

"Yes h-" I stopped mid sentence when I noticed a small movement at my balcony. "Hold that thought" I stood up from my bed.

"What's wrong?"

I didn't reply as I got closer to the balcony. That was when I noticed that the door wasn't locked as I left it and I began to panic.

Who the hell could it be?

As slowly as possible I opened the glass door and a breath of relief escaped my lips when I saw the familiar figure standing there.

"I'll call you back" I hung up not waiting to hear Adrian cuss at me. "I thought you had left" I crossed my arms in front of my chest.

The grey eyed man turned around to face me, a smile on his face. "I told you I wasn't going anywhere"

This man will surely be the death of me.
