School today was boring not having my friends around. It was two pm and I hadn't heard from them or Drew since morning.

I was done with any activity I had to do in school and I was sure Adrian and Funke were too.

I pulled out my phone and sent a text to them, telling them to meet me at Bobs diner and almost immediately they replied saying they would meet me soon. That was good, considering they haven't talked to me since morning.

I walked into Bobs diner and chose a booth at the far end corner of the room. It was a fairly large room and almost every student at my school came here especially at evenings. Bobs also had a bar at the back of this building so those who wanted to drink could. That was were Drew took me to yesterday.

Five minutes later, Funke came in and immediately spotted me at the booth.

"Ba wo ni?"(How are you) She asked in Yoruba.

"Daa daa ni" (I'm fine) I replied looking at her closely. She looked extremely tired. "Kilon se yín?"(What is wrong with you?)

She rubbed her eyes tiredly. "I just had so much work to do. Nothing much."

I rubbed her back soothingly. "Don't worry, it'll soon all be over."

"I can't wait."

"Me neither."

We ordered our foods and also ordered for Adrian in his absence knowing exactly what he'd like and just then Adrian walked in.

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late." He apologized sitting beside Funke opposite from me.

"It's okay. We ordered for you already." I said smiling at him.

"Oh thanks." He smiled back.

"So guys about yesterday night, I noticed you guys are still angry about it." I spoke up breaking the silence that had settled between us.

"Are you guys back together?" Adrian asked accusingly.

I gasped. "Gosh no, never. Why would you think that?"

"Because it seems exactly like it. First I find you at the bar and next you're sneaking off to his house and sleeping with him." He rose his voice earning stares from nearby booths.

"Adrian, don't speak to her like that!" Funke yelled glaring at him.

"Why shouldn't I when she's being a slut." He looked at me, daring me to speak.

What has gotten into him?

"Look here Adrian." I slammed my hands on the table. "First I'm not a slut so don't you ever in your life call me that." I warned then sat back on my chair.

"Or else you'll get it hot from me." Funke joined in.

"Now." My voice was calmer. "There's nothing going on between Drew and I, I barely tolerate him, I just happened to be with him yesterday because I had no choice, you know the edge he has on me."

Adrian looked calmer than before and he looked at me apologetically. "Sorry for yelling at you. I'm just tired of you telling me that you don't love him anymore and the next thing you're having a drink with him and spending the night at his house."

"It's understandable, you have every right to be angry just don't insult me that way again." I said and Funke nodded in agreement.

The waiter brought our food and we started eating, talking about different things. When we were done Drew decided to make an appearance.

He made himself comfortable on the seat beside me. "Hey guys."

Adrian and Funke glared at him and I just rolled my eyes at him.

"How's everyone doing?" He asked with a smile on his face.

I looked up at Adrian and Funke and they both looked as frustrated as me. They looked at themselves and Adrian stood up to leave.

"I just remembered I have to call my mother, I'll see you guys later? Bye." He walked away, not even giving us the chance to say anything about it.

I rolled my eyes at him, making a mental note to yell at him for this later.

After a few seconds of awkward silence Funke stood up. "I have to go finish up my World Government project, I'll call you later or something." she said before hurrying out leaving Drew and I.

What real friends I have.

I sighed and turned to Andrew who had a smirk on his face. "Don't tell me you're going to leave me too."

Asshole.

"What do you want?" I glared at him.

"You left without telling me this morning. I woke up and you were gone."

"How did you remember that?" I was confused.

"Your Library card happened to drop from your purse last night and James told me you came to pick me at the party also my bed was warm when I woke up so I pieced all the information together and I knew you were around."

Perfect.

"Give me my card." I stretched out my hands to collect my card.

"No." He shook his head.

"Fine keep it, I can easily read at my house and sure I'll be graduating soon." I took a sip of my water on the table.

I should get up and leave but I won't. Andrew came here so he should leave.

"So what exactly happened last night that made you sleep at mine?" he asked turning to fully look at me.

"You were drunk and called me to pick you up. Well I had no choice but to go. When I dropped you off you literally held me back and forced me to sleep with you." I said.

"Oh, okay." He nodded. "What did your friends say about it?"

"They were angry at first but they had to deal with it."

He nodded and an akward silence followed.

He had his eyes on his hands which were on his legs. "Why?"

Huh?

I bit my lip in confusion. "Why what?"

"Why?" He asked again, this time looking at me, his eyes sad. "Why do you have so much effect on me? Last night I think I heard you ask why the break up was hard on me and my answer is I don't know so now I'm asking you why you have so much effect on me. "

I sighed. "I don't know too Jeffery. I never meant for that to happen. If I knew what was going to happen I wouldn't have even come close to you."

He meant to take my hands in his but I pulled back shaking my head at him. "No, let's not do this again."

"Why?" He asked, his voice low.

"Because-" I paused, "No, I can't do this." I stood up to leave.

"Riya, let's just talk about this please." He pleaded, standing up with me.

"Talk about what huh?" I turned to face him. "So you could remind me of ho-"

He stopped me before I could finish my sentence. "Let's not talk about this here Riya." his eyes were darting around the room.

He pulled my hands in an attempt to drag me out of the place.

"Why? Why not here?" I yelled, getting looks from people. "Because you're ashamed of what you did?"

He sighed, rubbing his forehead with his hands in frustration.

"Victoria."

"Andrew."

After seconds of me staring at him and him at the floor I took my bag and walked out of the place. He didn't follow me out and I was grateful.

On my way out I noticed some people with their phones out, ready to record the next action of Andrew and I. They sure needed something to gossip about. Obviously they were all students in need of something to entertain them.

I can't wait to graduate to be out of all this drama in my life or better still, away from Andrew.
