I'm not a "Church" person like people would say but I work on my faith. Being the last Sunday I'd be going to the campus fellowship, I think I'm going to miss it.

Not only is the word taught but the people are very easy to relate with. I don't have any personal relationships with anyone in the fellowship per se but the few people I've conversed with and actually mingled with better than the others are great to talk with.

Today is one of the days I don't drive to campus because I take the walk as an exercise, something I don't do very often.

The walk from the fellowship hall to the bus stop where I get into a vehicle to the gates, then from the gates to my hostel is a long journey so I ditched my heels and went for the flats. I wear heels rarely and when I do that, I change into a pair of slippers at the end of the service and stuff my shoes into a bag.

I'm about to stop a Keke (tricycle) but a voice from behind calling my name stops me.

I turned around and I when didn't see anyone familiar to me, I shrugged and turned back around to continue the task at hand.

I heard my name again and I turned around. A man, probably around my age or younger is waving at me and jugging towards me. He's wearing a black button up shirt and black jeans and I immediately know that he's from my fellowship's choir. Sorry old fellowship.

"Sister Victoria," he called, now a few feet from me, "sorry to bother you but I'd like to talk with you."

I took a step back when he was directly in front of me, "sorry I don't know you."

"Oh my bad, I'm Temi from the fellowship, I'm in the choir," he introduced with his hands outstretched, ready to shake mine.

"You already know my name," I shook his hand.

He laughed, "you're funny," he was expecting me to laugh with him but I kept a straight face and he stopped. "Okay. Uhm I'm going to go straight to the point. I've been noticing you for a while now and it'd be great if I got to know you."

This time around I was the one that laughed. I know where this is going, "I don't think you went straight to the point, did you?" I smirked.

He shifted from one foot to the other, discomfort on his features. He cleared his throat and starightened his back. "Okay, I didn't. Look, you're a really pretty lady and it'd be great to go out with you."

Aha, those are the words I was looking for. Any guy who tries to talk to a lady at this point especially as final year students, the only thing to expect from them is to ask you out. Especially if you've never talked to them before or even met them.

"Why don't you try with another lady," I gave him a fake smile, trying as much as possible to make it real, "but I'm not up for that. Goodbye."

I walked away from him and stuck out my hand when I saw a Keke approaching.

"Can't you at lea-" He didn't finish his sentence because a familiar voice cut him.

"I think she's told you that she isn't interested so why don't you back off." He sounded pissed.

When did he get here?

I looked up at him and I smiled, a genuine smile. Andrew snaked his arms around my waist and pulled me to him.

The other guy looked back and forth between us then his hands landed on Andrew's hand around my waist. I leaned into Andrew to spell it out more.

He nodded, "alright then, goodbye," he literally ran out of our sights.

When he was out of view I pulled away from Andrew, "what are you doing here?"

Andrew doesn't go to the campus fellowship but he goes to the church outside of campus. It's still the same ministry but in different places, so it's a surprise to see him on campus.

"I came to drop something for a friend who stays in the hostels, I'm glad I did," he answered. "You're headed home, let me drop you off." He walked towards his car that I didn't notice was there before.

I didn't reject his offer and got into the car. Putting on my seatbelt, I spoke up, "so how long have you been watching me?"

He put the car in drive then hit the gas, "well since you almost stopped the first Keke."

"So you weren't even going to offer me a ride if the nigga wasn't there?" I smirked.

"I was, if the Keke didn't stop or you didn't enter it," he answered.

I haven't spoken to him since the night at his house but the air around us wasn't as tensed as I expected.

I guess the talk really helped a lot and if I know Andrew well he's just giving me some time to myself.

Maybe I should let my heart lead me like Funke suggested. I love Andrew, I really do and seeing him almost everyday isn't helping. He has broken my trust and broken me too but I just have to trust him one last time not to deliver the final blow.

The car came to a halt when he got to the front of my apartment building.

I unbuckled my seat belt, "thanks for the ride," I said before climbing out of his car.

"Wait!" He called just before I closed the door, "you look good today," he told me and I felt my cheeks flush.

"Thanks," I closed the door and walked to my house.

What I wore was very simple. A shortsleeved body con Ankara dress and It was a few inches above my knees. My hair was packed up and I had no make up on.

His words made me conscious of how I was walking, knowing fully well that he was still looking at me. When I finally made it to my door, finding my keys was the hardest with my mind still aware of his eyes on me.

I finally found the key and quickly unlocked my door before walking into my house. I locked the door behind me and went straight to my room.

It felt like hours since I got into his car and he drove me home.

The room suddenly became colder and darker than before meaning that it was about to rain so I quickly changed into black sweatpants and a blue T-shirt.

Since there was no electricity I took my laptop from my desk, my Bluetooth earpiece and my blankets and headed straight for my couch.

I copied a few movies from a friend of mine's laptop to mine sometime last week and I haven't watched them.

I went to my kitchen first and since all I had was spaghetti and stew, I served myself a portion, filled a cup with water and settled myself on my couch before playing a movie.
