Chapter 11: Heroes Learn about The Gem Locations and about The Diamonds

The next morning of the Hall of Justice, all the heroes were gathered in the main hall, some were wondering why they were called there and some knows why the heroes were talking amongst each other, as they were amongst themselves it was cut off when Superman and Superboy walked in through the doors, while Superman had a professional look on his face and Superboy had a saddened look on his face and his eyes were on the floor

"Hello everyone, I'm sure you're all wondering why you were all called here?" asked Superman to everyone

"That's pretty much the main question in everybody's minds right now," remarked Beast boy.

Superman gave him a quick glare at him, then continued to speak "The reason why is because we may have enough information about these 'gems' and about Nora"

That got everyone's attention and some had a serious look on their faces, then Batman started to speak

"A while ago Superboy and Robin visited the Universe residence to see Nora and to find anything about the gems, much like the Titans they saw the crystal pad, now being identified as the 'warp pad', Nora eventually told them both that she has a magic pink lion-"

"Wait, I'm sorry to interrupt but a 'magic pink lion'?, I don't believe that," said Green Lantern

"Jordan, you have a ring that was given to you by aliens, that gives you powers and fought an interdimensional demon, who's the father of Raven, who in fact is a half-demon herself" responded Martian Manhunter with an unamused look on his face

"Fair enough, continue bats" replied Green Lantern after that was pointed out and had nothing to argue against it.

"As I was saying, she told them about her pet lion and even showed them the gem locations are in the world, I'll let Robin and Superboy explain and show you"

Robin stood up from his seat and walked to the front, as Superboy walked behind him with a solemn look on his face they both stood in front of everyone, while Robin put up the photos and notes on the monitors, everyone was speechless as they saw the photos of the gem locations Nora took them and Robin started to talk about the locations' history as Nora told them during the gem war between the Crystal Gems and Homeworld, and even about what happened to the rest of the rebellion when they thought that the war was over.

Everyone had no words to add or reply as Robin continue on and all were wondering about who are Homeworlds rulers and how powerful are they, Robin then gave the turn to Superboy, he was hesitant at first but he knew that he has to tell them, if not then Wonder Women would have to use her lasso of truth on him and force him to tell them about what happened the other night, so he took a deep breath and told them what happened from discovering the barn and the Moon Base to seeing the Diamond dream with Nora after he was finished he then waited for everyone's' response

"Holy crap..." spoke out Blue Beetle with a shocked look on his face

"Took the words out of my mouth man," said Beast boy

"There's a barn and a base on the moon and NASA didn't notice it?!" shout out Green Lantern

"By hearing this, it seems like a vision of the past and it explained how the shattering of Pink Diamond happened" summarized Martian Manhunter

"But why would it show Pearl in the vision, wasn' it Noras' mom the one who shattered her?" questioned Superboy out loud

"Who knows', even Nora doesn't know how Pink Diamond was shattered in the first place, that's why she was put in a trail at Homeworld" responded Robin

"We even got to know the Gems when Nora told them about us knowing that she's half gem" added Superboy

"So, it appears that Pearl must be hiding something about Pinks shattering" stated Starfire

"But from the story, we were told that Pearl belongs to no one and she helped alongside with Rose throughout the war" replied Superboy

After Superboy said that, everyone was puzzled about the whole situation about Pearl and Pink Diamond but they're going to pin that for later, now they were starting to talk about the Diamonds.

"So, now that we know who wiped out most of the rebellion we need to know how powerful they are," says Superman

"From Noras' perspective, Blue Diamonds power makes all gems feel sad and cry from her emotions by projecting her aura in the area, Yellow Diamonds power is to destabilize the physical forms of gems at her fingertips by generating light currents from her body, and as for the last Diamond we have no information about her since she didn't make an appearance, so we got nothing," spoke Robin

"Looks like we need to get more information about them and about Pink Diamonds shattering," says Cyborg

"Don't forget to get info about Pearl's past" added Flash

After a few minutes had passed and before they knew it the meeting was over and everyone was leaving returning back to their homes or going on patrol, all but Superboy, he was sitting in one of the seats, lost in thought and didn't notice that someone was behind him, putting their hand on his shoulder, snapped out of it Superboy looked to the person's hand was and it was Superman

"what's wrong Conner? you keep having deep thoughts all-day today throughout the whole day" said Superman in a concerned voice

"It's nothing really, it's just... I've been thinking back with Nora and this whole mission" Conner responded solemnly

"Why's that? Is it because you're keeping the whole thing a secret?"

"No, it's because it feels like I'm betraying her and using her, she told Damian and me that she's a half-human and showed us the gem locations around the world, and yet here we are; exploiting her just to see if the gems are dangerous to earth and humankind"

After Conner finished his rant, Superman looked at him astonished and then, his brian clicked giving him the explanation on why Conner was so upset over this

"You like Nora, don't you?" Superman stated out loud

After hearing that Conner turned red, almost matching the color of Supermans' symbol on his chest, and began to stutter a bit wanting to deny it but he couldn't find an excuse for so he gave up and confessed

"Yes, I like her but what am I going to do, I mean how would she react if I tell her that I'm Superboy, not to mention how would she react if she finds out that we've been spying and using her this whole time," said Conner in a worried tone

Clark knew what he was going through, he had the same conflict when he was with Lois Lane, wondering if he should reveal his hero identity to her or not, but it's different than his, the girl is somewhat a super and is possibly a key to a new discovery of an unknown race from beyond the stars.

"I know what you're going through kid, it may be difficult but that is something for you to decide, but right now is not the time, we still need the information about Homeworld and about the Diamonds, once this is all over you can tell her about your hero identity, alright?" says Superman

Conner thought about what Clark said and thought of something that would plausibly jeopardize the mission and a bit of Noras' trust but he knew what to do next.

"Yeah, you're right, thanks Clark," says Conner before he walked out of the room and flew back to the Kents' house with a plan in motion in his head, soon everything will be different between him and Nora, and there is no turning back now.

A/N: It looks like the heroes want to know more about the Diamonds and about the shattering of Pink Diamond, and what's Conner planning? Is he going to tell Nora about the mission or not? If he is, how is Nora going to take it? Is Nora going to find out what Pearl is hiding? Will Pearl finally reveal a great secret that she has been hiding after all these years?
