I felt so alive. V spent the entire day with me out of the house. It felt good to be able to go out and actually do stuff. Though, with the business he had going on I thought he wouldn't want to have gone out into public with me. That didn't stop him though. It was comforting to be able to have him by my side. We went out of town. We went to Listic and spent the day there. He wasn't recognized by anyone so we were both okay. However, it was dreadful being back in this house.

V promised me that we could go out again. I was excited. I sighed as I sat in the kitchen. I had to be alone. V was nearby, though. He was around to make sure that nothing bad happened to me. I sipped my tea as I jumped slightly from hearing the front door open. "Darling, I'm home!" He called out as he looked around. He noticed me in the kitchen and stepped over to me.

I could feel the hairs on my back stand as I could feel myself choking on my own words. He placed his gloved hands on my shoulders as I shivered. "Oh, darling. Are you cold?" I shook my head. He kissed the top of my head as I kept my head down. "So darling, what did you do today?" I sighed slightly as I wrapped my hands around the cup. It was warm. That was the only thing keeping me warm. "Oh I did the usual. Stayed inside, found ways to entertain myself." He tightened his grip on my shoulders as he exhaled. "Darling...Darling...Darling.." His voice melted in my ears.

"I know you're lying to me. So why don't you tell me what you actually did." I nearly choked on air. How did he know? "I uh...I just went out for some groceries." He sighed as he massaged my shoulders for a moment. "There we go. Thank you for telling me what you actually did. However, you weren't supposed to leave." I sighed slightly. "I know I just...we were running low on food-" It was so cold. My hands were the only thing that were warm.

"Well, I hope you didn't go shopping in this town. The next town over has good produce." I let out a small sigh of relief. "I did." He whispered as he moved his masked face closer to mine. "Good girl.." I felt chills again. It was so cold. "Well. I have a bit of business to take care of tomorrow again." I bit my lip for a moment before speaking. I could taste blood. Did I bite my lip? "What's your name?"

"What?" He seemed taken back a bit by my question. "What's your name?" He scoffed a bit. "Darling, you know my name." I nearly choked on my words. "I just wanna hear you say it." He sighed. "It's V, darling." I gave a gentle nod as he was at my side, kneeling. He was examining my face. I felt like I couldn't move. "Why haven't I been able to watch the television? Or have my phone?" He put two of his gloved fingers on my cheek as he put his thumb under my chin. He forced my head to look at him.

"Because darling, the outside world is a dangerous place. I actually have a new place for us to go to tomorrow night that's much more safer than this one." I shook my head. "I don't want to leave." He scoffed. I could hear anger in his voice. "You don't get to choose if you want to stay or leave. We are both leaving tomorrow night and that's that." He smacked the side of my face a bit too hard. It caused me to yelp a little. "My...do you like hitting women?"

His voice melted in my ears as I waited. I watched V's gloved hand. The male in front of me stood and turned to face V. "Who are you and why are you in my house?" V chuckled as the male's fists balled. V's hand jerked a bit as I stood up slowly, trying not to make a sound. "I'm the owner of this house." I heard a scoff. "Likely story." I walked quietly around the side of the table as I made a run for V's side. I was just barely caught by the imposters hand. He growled as I felt a hand pulling me away. V pulled me so I was behind him. I just barely looked over his side.

"So let me ask you again. Do you like hitting women?" I could feel V's body heat radiating off of him. He was angry. I just barely could feel his body throbbing under my touch. "If it'll get them to do what I wish." V's fists balled up. "Do you know what kind of trouble you're in? Do you know what you've done? What we've done?" I listened to the imposters voice as he spoke. It got me scared. "You, my friend. Are a murderer." The imposter was moving closer to V. V started backing up, pushing me back as I stepped back.

"I haven't hurt a single soul." The imposter scoffed. "No no no. Not you. I did the dirty work. But you, my friend are now in the hands of thirty three cases of mysterious deaths. Thirty four if you include that beautiful flower behind you." I could hear a growl. "I'm tired of hearing you talk." The imposter continued to move closer. It took me a moment before I made a move. It was quiet for a moment. My back was against V's as I could feel his hand on my arm. He gripped it. I turned to look to the imposter as he started to chuckle. He placed his hands on his mask and slowly pulled it forward.

He lowered his head as time nearly froze. The got the mask off as he then placed it on the table. He lifted his head as I turned away. I didn't want to see who it was. I felt too sick already. I felt two taps on my arm from his hand. That was the second signal. I made a run for the door, grabbing my keys on the side table. V followed in suit as I ran to my car. "Get back here!" I heard the imposter yell as we both got into the car, I started it as I backed out as fast as I could. I didn't have time to worry about seat belts or my radio.

"Go, go, go." I heard V's voice speak as I made a sharp turn out of his driveway. I wasn't heading towards my town. I was heading the opposite direction. Panic grew in my chest as I stepped on the gas. I checked the time, it was 9:34 PM. That late? I checked my mirrors and saw the headlights of the imposters car. Odd how he had the exact same car as V. I shook my head a bit as I put my foot down a bit more. We were at 90 mph. He had to have been at 75. "I'm going to open the roof window. I want you to keep driving." I heard V's voice. It melted in my ears again. I huffed slightly as I nodded. I had no choice but to trust him. We went over this earlier.

He opened it as he stood, I watched the rear view mirror. "Go faster!-" I slammed my foot down on the gas as we started to go faster. The car behind us kept getting close. Then my ears started to ring. There were gun shots. I didn't know if it was from V or from the imposter. I tried to drive steadily before hearing a loud noise. I wasn't sure what it was but before I knew what happened the steering wheel turned away from me and the car swerved. I panicked and jerked forward a bit before I grabbed the wheel, trying to straighten the car out. I managed to get it to straighten out but it swerved left and right every few feet. "Keep her straight!" He called out as I tried my hardest to keep the car straight.

I then heard a shot. My eyes went straight for the mirror as I saw the car behind us starting to move from side to side. I could feel panic rising in my chest as I watched the car swerve off of the side of the road. My eyes went back to the road as I saw the next upcoming exit for the next town. I started to slowly lift my foot off of the gas and put my other foot on the breaks. V climbed back down into the car as he watched me. "Nice and slow. Good. I have a call to make." I nodded as I started to push my foot against the breaks even harder. The car then came to a bit of a quick stop as we both jerked forward then fell back against our seats. I could hear V starting to talk, but I couldn't hear much of it.

I leaned my head back as my eyes started to flutter shut.
