I wasn't sure what day it was. V and Thomas haven't bothered me besides bringing me food and water. My body was sore and stiff. The only movement I did was lifting myself up to sit up and lowering myself back down to lay down and sleep. I had to start moving around. I easily lifted myself up as I sighed. I hoped this was the last time I'd get hurt. I'm tired of it.
I allowed myself a moment to take in what I was doing. Once I felt like I was ready I slowly moved my legs off of the side of the bed and moved myself to sit up right. I kept myself up with my arms. My legs ached. I was starting to think this might be a bad idea. The feeling of the cold floor against my feet was enough to give me the feeling of uneasiness.
I was this far, though. I might as well continue. I started to put weight down on my feet as I lifted myself up off the bed. It hurt. I was standing at this point but using the bed as a cane to help me stand. It was cold. I lifted my head to look out the window and saw it was raining. Maybe that's why it was so cold. I was starting to miss the warmth of being under the covers.
I heard a knock at the door. Shit. "Yeah?" 'It's just me.' Thomas. He would be able to help. "Come in." I turned myself so I was facing the door while leaning back against the bed. I watched the door open as his face nearly went pale. I'm guessing he was in shock?
'Why are you standing?' "What is today?" 'Wednesday.' "I want to go out with V tomorrow. I want to get my strength back today." I heard him chuckle as he shook his head. He stepped into the room and closed the door behind him. 'Well, I can help you out if you'd like.' I gave him a nod.
I wanted to go out to spend time with V. I missed him. He was gone for a while and I'm finally back in his presence. I don't wanna miss the chance to go out with him again like we use to before he left.
Thomas stepped over to me and he had moved one of my arms to be wrapped around his back. I held onto his side. He put his arm around my shoulder and I moved all my weight back onto my feet. 'If it gets to be too much, tell me so we can stop. You won't get all of it back right away. You were in bed for about four days.' I gave him a nod as we stood.
God it hurt. 'Alright, follow my lead.' He put his left foot out, I followed in suit. He placed it down and I did as well. I groaned. It felt both good and painful to stretch like that. He chuckled as he moved us both forward. I gripped onto his side as he held onto me, keeping me up. 'You're okay.' I nodded as he put his right foot out and down. I did the same thing.
Before I realized what happened he was helping me walk around the room. I started to feel as if static shot through my body. It was a bit difficult to deal with at first but then the feeling slowly faded. With each foot step I started to feel a bit better. My body was still sore and I could feel my feet throb with almost every step we took, but it felt good to walk around instead of staying in place again.
There was a knock at the door. 'Thomas? Are you in there?' We both looked at each other as he gave me a smile. We started to walk over to the door, giving it about four feet away so if V opened the door he wouldn't hit us. 'Thomas??' He sounded concerned. The door knob started to turn as the door opened.
Excitement filled my chest. I started to smile and realized I couldn't stop. Before we realized what happened I was on the floor with V as he sounded like he was crying. He was mumbling something in my ear but I couldn't understand it. It was covered by Thomas's laughter.
'ohmygoshimsoproudofyouyougotupoutofbedandyoustartedwalkingagain' I chuckled as Thomas started to calm down his laughter. "V, what did you say?" 'I'm so proud of you. You got up out of bed and started walking around. Does this mean you'll go out with me tomorrow?' I was defeated.
"Yes." Even behind the mask I could tell he was super excited for it. I think he was more excited than what I was. 'We are gonna go out and make you look all pretty. We have a bunch of places to go to.' I chuckled as I wrapped my arms around V. He did the same. He lifted us both up and sat me in his lap as I sat there hugging him.
'I'm so proud of you.' Gosh. You'd think he saw me as a five year old. I chuckled. "It's just walking." 'Well at the start of the week you didn't seem like you wanted anything to do with us or walking and getting back to doing everything and anything you could.' I sighed. He was right. I guess maybe I was just upset that he was treating me like I was disabled, I wasn't."Well, I'm feeling good enough to get up and walk around. I might need Thomas and you to help me out with it though." His voice echoed in my head. 'Oh of course, my dear.' It sent chills down my spine. Today was going to be interesting to say the least, but it brought the possibility that I'd be a bit better by tomorrow to go out with V.
(( I'm so sorry for the kinda not so detailed chapter. My writers block is starting to kick in and I've felt a bit under the weather because of the storms and such going on. There won't be a chapter next week but after that I'm hoping to get back on track with this story and starting writing every week again. Thank you for understanding!! ))
