After 6 years

Durga's POV

Today is my birthday, happy b' day to me. Do you know what's the best part Nithya is coming today, do you know the worst part mamma and dada will not come they want to look after Druv. He is my little brother he is only three yrs old. I never saw them for real, I only saw them in pictures and talked to them on the phone. But on my birthday mamma and dada gives their present in Divya maa's hand for me.

Do you know who is Divya maa she is Nithya and Nithin bhaii's maa, I love them all along with Aditya dada. And I love my grandma too she is preparing meals for everyone.

Nithya is my best friend. She is so cute with chubby cheeks and curly hair. She is 3 months older than me but I am the taller among us.

Nithin bhaii is the world's best brother. But he doesn't like me playing with Appu, he is my neighbor. Whenever bhai sees me with him he drags me from there by saying some lame excuses, I don't know what is his problem with Appu.

"Durga am here" screamed Nithya

"Nithya why are you so late?"

"Oh I'm so sorry, please forgive me b' day girl" she apologized and hugged me "I missed you so much Durga," said Nithya

"Drama queen please stop it, you saw her yesterday," said bhai

"So what, I missed her all night and this morning" stated Nithya

"Whatever, hey baby sis happy b' day," said bhai and gave my gift

"Thank you bhai," I said and hugged him

"Open your gift after cutting the cake," said bhai

"Ok bhai"

"Where is my baby?" Asked Divya maa

"Maa" I ran to her and she scooped me in her hands

"Many many happy returns of the day baby," said maa

"Thank you maa. Where is dada?"

"I'm here baby," said Adi dada and took me from maa's hand

"Happy b' day baby. Where your grandma?" Said dada

"She is in the kitchen"

"Daddy let her go. Why are you guys always take her from me? She is mine, better you all remember that." Nithya stated angrily and drag me from there.

"Nithya, that was rude. Don't talk like that to elders." I told her sternly

"I'm sorry, but I can't help it. You are my only best friend and when they talk to you like that I am afraid that you don't want me anymore " she said sadly

"No silly I will never do that. You are my best friend and my big sis how can I do that to you"

"Really? We will be friends forever?" She asked excitedly

" Yes forever, now come grandma is preparing your favorite jamun's"

" Then come fast before Appu comes and eats them" she ran to the kitchen "grandma"

"Oh my baby girl when did you came" asked grandma kissing her

"Now grandma, is it gulab jamun you are making?"

"Yes baby, don't you want it?" Asked grandma

"Yes I lo..." Before she could reply bhai said "no grandma she hates it but I love it give me all of them"

"No no I love them, bhai is lying. Bhai don't you know by lying you will be blind!! God will punish you!! " Said Nithya angrily

"No silly mamma lied to you, see I am not blind hahaha"
