Chapter 13

Authors POV

Everyone had their lunch and the children went to sleep they all were exhausted with today's activities.

"Hmm so what are we going to do, all of them are sleeping and we two are sitting here alone," asked Kiran to his wife

"mm... how about watching tv." suggested Jeena

"ok," said Kiran and went to put on the tv

"Kiran put on the news channel I didn't get to see any news today," said Jeena and Kiran did as his wife said

"Kiran isn't that Durga's photo?" asked Jeena

"yes it is, her parents are searching for her!!" said Kiran in disbelief

"oh no, what are we going to do!! switch off the tv Kiran I don't want to see that anymore and I am not going to give my baby to anyone" said Jeena and ran to her room crying.

"Hey, Jeena stop" Kiran ran behind his crying wife.

She was sitting in their bed sobbing hiding her face in her hands. Kiran sat beside her and hugged her

"Jeena hey don't cry. She is with us now baby" Kiran tried to console his wife

"But how long Kiran if they knew about her then they will take her away from me, I just got her and already god is taking her away from me" sobbed Jeena

"Jeena we want to give their child back. Think about her mother, she gave birth to her if you are this much hurt for leaving her what will be her condition" said Kiran

"Her condition!! she will be happy!! do you know what Durga said to me? She said that her mother was not there for her. if her mother was that much concerned about her then where was she when that child needed her." said Jeena angrily

"Jeena I too don't want to let her go but we have no choice," said Kiran

"yes Kiran we have, we can keep her here secretly away from everyone or..or.. we can go from here and live somewhere else keeping her safe. She is certainly not safe with her parents can't you see." reasoned Jeena

"Jeena we don't know their story"

"Why are you so into giving her back?"

"Because I think as a parent but you only think like a mother. Jeena, will you let Jagath go away from you even for a day?" asked Kiran and Jeena looked away from him

"Jeena, first we want to ask Durga what happened and why she was alone in that street," said Kiran hugging his wife

"But I don't want her to let her go Kiran." she cried on Kiran's shoulder hugging his tightly

"Kiran if she said that her parents do any harm to her then no one can stop me from keeping her with me," said her and went to the bathroom.

Kiran sighed and went to Durga's room. She was sleeping there peacefully. He thought about her scared face when he rescued from than men's hand. 'what is her story?' he thought himself.

He went toward her and sat beside her bed caressing her hair ' Jeena is right if your parents are abusing you in any way I will never let you go from here. I will always keep you away from everyone'

Durga stirred in her bed and slowly opened her eyes." Hey princess you are awake" said Kiran caressing her hair with love. She smiled at him and sit on his lap hugging him.

"Yes dad where is mamma," she asked

"Here baby," said Jeena standing near the door

Durga ran to her and Jeena picked her up "I love you, baby, never forget that" said Jeena hugging Durga to her chest
