Can i just say that u guys surprised me with the amount of positive comments and feedback i got. In all honesty, i was so scared releasing the previous chapter cos I've seen readers aggressively turn on authors for creating heartbreaking scenes and tearing couple ships apart.
But you guys are so freaking amazing!!! I just want to tell you that I dnt intend to make this book end on a sour note in anyway. It will end in praise ooo. Both Kasa and Jesi will survive any setback that comes their way.
These storms are necessary. It can't be all smooth sailing for them. They need instances to expose their good parts and bad and ugly parts and hopefully learn from these revelations and work on themselves to become wiser, better ppl and even better lovers to each other.
For instance, now we know how bad Jemi's explosive anger is and to what extent it can get. Although, the alcohol played a massive role in fueling his outburst (in all honesty, a sober Jemi would NEVER EVER say the things he said... And even a drunk Jemi wud NEVER EVER hit a girl), he still needs to be held accountable for all the things he said to her. Before we praised him for his anger at Trev because he used it to protect Kosi but now, that same anger and explosiveness has hurt her. We know Kosi can be wreckless, something we used to like her for before. Her witty attitude, carefree behaviour and sharp mouth. But that wreckless, carefree attitude contributed to escalate their fight. And now we understand she will say any and everything to hurt back someone that has hurt her even tho she doesn't really mean what she says. Evident when she said Jemi means nothing to her even tho he obvs does...
Asa has trust issues, is naive and makes bad decisions when it comes to her hrt and lovelife, evident with the whole love triangle thing, agreeing to kiss Amir and not telling Kam in the end to not destroy their friendship. Kam can be so dense sometimes, he is blindly trusting (to ariel and haliya) and he loves Asa to a fault. The fact that he cnt stay mad at her for long and resolves issues with a kiss and letting hormones get in the way of making honest conversations with her should get people worried. Amir loves too much for his own good, so much that it becomes obsessive and toxic and some of you even called him out on this...🤗🤗 Thank you. U're grabbing all the hints I'm dropping.
'Nothing Gold Can Stay' is specifically meant for exposing these character flaws. Suddenly, these characters are not as perfect as when u saw them in WGSC. They're more human now and some of u even see yourselves in them. Some are disappointed. Some, aggravated. Others are starting to realize why I gave the title 'Nothing Gold Can Stay'. Ppl hv even predicted that there'll be a mass falling apart. Like, there's still something big coming... Maybe... But not just for our favourite ships but for the individual members of this gang. Things have to fall apart, because chaos, eventually brings order.
Please remember this as you go on reading.

Asa
"Uh... Do you want to talk about what happened?" I whispered from where I sat, cross-legged in the middle of Kosi's bed.
Lola was lying on her stomach, mindlessly flipping through a fashion magazine with Kosi's face on the front cover.
"Do I look like I want to talk about it?" Kosi glared at me, from where she sat at her vanity, blending contours expertly unto her face.
"Um... No?"
"Then don't ask me stupid questions, Asa."
I waited.
