Kaden's P.O.V

Jasmine stayed home from school for the remainder of the week. She would break down every time I brought it up and would tell me she didn't want to go. It honestly broke my heart. My mother told me I was being too submissive to Jasmine and I should make her go to school regardless but she didn't understand Jasmines autism. I knew she had a hard time when I asked for her to look after Jasmine for a night or two because sometimes she would say she's busy, like this weekend.

Megan has told me she was flying back home tonight and I wanted to spend some time with her before she left but I couldn't because of Jasmine. I was becoming emotional thinking about Megan going back to America. I knew that I was growing fond of her and I knew that there was definitely an attraction there but I didn't understand why I was getting so upset.

"Jasmine," I spoke quietly, watching her play with her cars. She looked up at me, her eyebrows furrowing.

"How would you feel if I had a friend over for a little bit?" I questioned. I watched carefully as she brought her fingers to her mouth and began chewing on them, something she did when she was nervous.

"Mmm do I know them?" She questioned, her head tilting slightly as she rested her hand on her chin.

"No but she is very nice," I reassured her.

"I don't know," she mumbled, crossing her arms over her chest, "will she call me stupid too?"

"No she won't Jasmine," I promised, moving from the couch to sit with her on the floor. Jasmine furrowed her eyebrows again, fiddling with her toy cars.

"I know this is something new Jasmine and it is okay," I reassured her, letting my hand find her small ones. She looked up at me, "we will just take it step by step okay?"

"Okay," she nodded, "can we race the cars when she comes?" She questioned, getting up and lining her cars at the top of the track.

"I'm sure we can,"

"She has to be the green one though cause I want to be the blue one and you're the red one,"

"Okay sweetheart," I replied, kissing her forehead before making my way back over to my phone to text Megan.

Kaden: Did you want to come over?

In a few seconds I felt my phone vibrate

Megan: sure :) what time?

Kaden: whenever but Jasmine is here so I will warn you she may be very timid

Megan: that's okay :) I'll see you in a bit

I couldn't help but smile at my phone. I knew Megan didn't know much about autism but the fact she's already began learning made my heart flutter. The thought of her being dedicated to learn to spend more time with me made butterflies erupt in my stomach. I felt like I was a teenager in high school again. It felt like when I started dating for the first time.

I heard a knock on the door and made my way over knowing it was Megan. When I opened the door I couldn't help but smile.

"Hi," she smiled, chuckling when I quickly wrapped my arms around her waist. She wrapped her arms around me, allowing her body warmth to engulf me. I could smell her familiar perfume and sighed in content.

"Hi," I replied, moving out of her embrace, moving inside as she followed. She kicked her boots off before hanging her flannel jacket onto the hanger.

"Jasmine," I called, as we walked into the living room. Jasmine looked up from her cars, her eyes instantly meeting Megan beside me. Her thumb instantly went to her lips, her eyes furrowing as she quickly walked to stand beside me. She shielded her body slightly behind mine but looked up at Megan. Megan crouched down so she was at a similar height to Jasmine. Jasmine's arm around my waist tightened, as she snuggled her head under my arm.
