Tori's P.O.V

"Are you going to be okay?" I asked her, as I walked her towards the front door of her apartment.

"I'll be fine," she replied quietly, juggling the keys in the door. I nodded, stuffing my hands in my sweat pockets. It was around one in the morning but I didn't feel tired. It was as if I was wide awake.

"I'll uh see you then?" I questioned, scratching the back of my neck. I didn't really know how to comfort her. I knew she was hurting and I knew she needed time to process things but I was trying not to be too in her face because I knew when I was sad I liked space.

"Tori," she spoke quietly, leaning against the doorframe.

"Yeah?" I questioned, rocking nervously on my feet. I had never been to her house before and this was exciting, but I knew I needed to keep the right mindset on. I could see she was struggling to say something. She kept opening and closing her perfectly pink lips, her eyebrows furrowed causing cute little wrinkles at the top of her nose and she sighed deeply, her eyes flickering down to the ground.

"I-I don't want to be alone tonight," she spoke quietly, her gaze slowly lifting up to meet mine. I could feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins and my heart screaming at her words. I just wish it was for different circumstances.

"I'm here if you need me Payton," I reassured her with a small smile. I watched as she silently stepped aside, allowing space for me to walk inside. I walked in slowly, taking in her studio like apartment. She had the main floor where everything seemed to be and a staircase that I assumed lead up to her bedroom. Her bedroom.

She closed the door behind us and carefully made her way towards the staircase. The room was dark but slightly illuminated by the moon coming in from the uncovered windows of the kitchen. I remained in my place, trying to remember every inch of her house in the dark. From what I could see, it gave me a look into who she was. Everything was neat and nothing seemed out of place except for a few folders stacked on the bench top that still somehow looked like they belonged.

"Are you coming?" Payton asked, bringing me out of my thoughts. I saw she was standing at the bottom of the spiral staircase. I nodded, feeling my cheeks blush slightly as I followed her up the stairs. I tried to refrain from staring but I couldn't help but look at her ass in my sweatpants. It looked really really squeezable. I just wanted to slap-...

"Ow," I grumbled, running straight into Payton's body, as I nearly fell back down the stairs but caught myself on the railing.

"Sorry," she mumbled, turning on the lights that dimly lit her bedroom. I couldn't help but smile at her room. Her queen sized bed lay in the middle but close to a balcony that looked over the city. Her windows were large and invited the amazing view. I gathered the door on the right was her bathroom.

"You can stay the night if you want," Payton commented, pulling the covers back on her bed. I swallowed the lump in my throat. My hands were slightly sweaty from the adrenaline my body was producing. I had wanted to be alone with Payton like this for so long and I hated that now wasn't the right time for anything. It wasn't hard to hold myself back but it was hard to deny the chemical tension I was feeling in my bones.

I didn't reply but carefully rounded to the other side of her bed, pulling the covers down. She carefully slid in, throwing some of the extra pillows onto the floor. I couldn't help but smile at her. I climbed in next to her, leaning against the wall to sit up slightly. I flinched slightly when Payton moved so her head was resting against my chest. Her arm was draped over my stomach. I hoped she couldn't hear how fast my heart was racing.
