If y'all are as obsessed with MCR and their lore you know about the fight that happened between my chem and the used. Now I wanna come out and say nobody know for sure why they actually stopped fucking with each other but rumor has it it was because Gerard wanted to get clean and Bert didn't.
They had a great 'friendship' at the time like maaad gay friendship lmao! They would kiss and did a whole interview high out their ass where they basically confirmed that they were more than good friends.
I'm not gonna sit here and say I know a lot about this whole situation because I haven't thought about this for a while but recently Bert has been on a roll.
Gerard supposedly wrote disenchanted for Bert and that has been the only one but Bert on the other hand has wrote countless songs about Gerard lmao.
Let's take some lines from the very obvious one

This is obviously a jab at Gerard because he's always been on the chubbier side

So this to me is him again just mocking Gerard because let's be honest, Gerard is the embodiment of awkward and he is one handsome ass mf.

So a lot to unpack here. If you've heard the song the way Bert says "your market value, your resurrection" is so full of spite and anger idk if it's just me that can sense that. He's basically saying MCR is a sellout and that all gerard cares about is money and MCR's fame. The resurrection part should be very clear, he's mocking Gerard for getting sober. He's saying
"Oh wow look at you, new guy. Born again faker" like deadass that's what I get. "Your shallow concept" he's saying mcr is basic and with no meaning, that Gerard is not creative with his journey.
Now the heavy shit.

My thoughts are Bert isn't the one saying this, it's Gerard. Gerard was the one to tell Bert he hopes he chokes and dies. I know some of you are gonna be like "Gerard would never" but Gerard has been very shady in the past
(like not telling frank the band was splitting till the day he announced it to everyone but that's off topic)
That's why Bert says "I know you meant it" which makes me believe that right after Gerard said that he was probably like "Bert im so sorry I didn't mean that" and THATS what really crushed both of them.

Here Bert's like fuck you, you're a shallow ass person. Gerard was a very vanity driven person back in the day I aint bouta lie. I also feel like he's saying Gerard is hollow for not helping him or trying more to help him, like he only cared about himself at that point.

I also feel like gerard might have told him something personal revolving that topic and Bert in a bitter state decided to spit it out. Also supposedly Gerard and his mom don't get along too well but that's what I've heard and seen a post once

I think Gerard genuinely has like a fear about being gay or bi or whatever. I mean he has that one like

So I definitely think this was Bert playing on his fear. This makes complete sense since they used to be all chummy back then I'd imagine they shared deep shit together.

OKAY SO "house of fire" is a term used when two people get alone really well and have similar interests TELL ME THIS ISNT SUS.
I'm not sure what he means about the glass besides the alcohol that's why he follows with the line

Cuz Gerard would constantly be throwing up due to being beyond drunk
"Mother never loved you" okay so again I had seen this whole thing where Gerard's mom was saying how Mikey and gee don't talk to her. I think Gerard had mentioned his problems with his mom in the past and Bert decided to air the dirty laundry.

So this makes me think that Gee's dad was the one forcing the catholic believes on them. Maybe even the one that convinced Gerard he would burn in hell if he ever did anything remotely gay.

Shit he even called Gerard out on stage during a show before singing pretty handsome awkward. Bert gives zero fucks lmao. He also doesn't sing the "chemical romance" part in "take it away "
