The Gunslinger
Bryn
Blasts grazed the Razor Crest. The Crest shot through the galaxy, another ship hot on their tail. Bryn tried not to fall over with all the movement of the ship as more shots rained on them.
It was another hunter here for her and the child.
Bryn stayed silent, allowing the Mandalorian to focus. Through his comm link came a rough, threatening voice. "Hand over the bounties, Mando."
One of the engines was hit and chaotic beeping exploded from the ship. Bryn gripped her chair tighter, knuckles turning white.
"I might let you live."
The ship shook violently and the child cried beside her.
"Hold on." Mando warned roughly, barely giving her enough time to brace herself as he turned the ship upside down, dodging shots. "Come on," He hissed, slamming hundreds of different buttons.
"I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in cold."
As the fighter ship came at the Razor crest, Mando suddenly yanked on the brakes, stopping the ship in its tracks. The fighter ship passed them so they were now behind the bounty hunter.
"That's my line," Mando snarled and pressed his finger on the gun trigger, exploding the ship in a matter of seconds.
Bryn covered her ears, blocking out the ringing alarms. Mando rapidly flipped switches and gripped the controls.
"What's the matter?" She asked when the beeping didn't stop.
"Losing fuel," He grunted.
Suddenly, all the lights went out and the engines stopped, leaving the Razor Crest to float in the middle of space. One of the engines sputtered when Mando tried to power up.
He waited a moment before he tried again and the lights slowly glowed back on. He managed to get the engines up and running and the ship shot forward to a redish desert planet in the distance.
"We'll have to make a stop to get repairs." He told her with a sigh.
"This is Mos Eisley Tower, we are tracking you. Head for bay three-five, over."
"Copy that." Mando replied and pressed a button above him. "Locked in for three-five."
Bryn leaned over his chairs, resting her chin on his shoulder. "What planet is this?" She asked as they descended. It look very...sandy.
"Tatooine."
She hummed in response and watched as Mando landed the ship in a repair shop. Once they stopped he stood and brushed past her, picking up the sleeping child in his hands. He shot her a quick glance.
"I would ask you to stay here," He paused as she looked at him with a raised brow. "But I'm not in the mood for arguing. Come on."
Bryn bounded happily after him. Mando placed the child safety in a small room in the wall, shutting the compartment quickly before he moved to open the hatch.
