ASDFGHJKL I just finished watching the last episode of the mandalorian season 2 and ASDHFLGKHFEDSLAGLJFKADSKLJKFDJKL is all I have to say. Excuse me while I go cry. *Sobbing intensifies*
Bryn
Bryn sat quietly in the Razor Crest. She was finally able to breath a sigh of relief now that the whole breaking-Qin-out-of-prison ordeal was over.
Mando had locked up Xi'an, Burg and Mayfeld and taken Qin back to Ran where he then left the republic tracking beacon and it had blown up in a matter of minuets.
Now she was sitting in utter silence, waiting for Mando to break it. She shifted in the leather chair as the Razor Crest floated through the endless abyss of space. The child cooed tiredly in the chair beside them and gently fell asleep with the slight rock of the Crest.
Finally, Mando spoke. "What happened back there?" He asked quietly, turning his chair so he could face her once he set the Crest on autopilot.
Bryn pursed her lips, unsure how to respond. "I-It's hard to explain." It wasn't. She was just avoiding it. She had hid her identity for so long, it was odd speaking about it.
"Try." He urged softly.
Bryn sucked on her bottom lip. "I'm an angel." She replied bluntly. No point in beating around the bush.
A beat. "An angel?"
Bryn nodded. "I grew up on the Moons of Lego with the rest of my kind. Angels don't like associating themselves with others outside our species, they prefer to keep their race pure." She swallowed, her mouth suddenly as dry as sand.
Mando was silent for a moment. "What happened?"
"Angel's are born to be perfect. I was not."
Mando flexed his fingers, almost as though he was resisting the urge to punch something. "How so?" he tried to keep his voice steady.
Bryn's eyes flickered down, almost ashamed. "My wings were grey, they were seen as tainted." She whispered, suddenly finding interest in her dull colored shirt and twisted it around her fingers.
Mando's cool leather gloves softy urged her chin up, making her look at him through her lashes. "May I see?" He asked gently. Bryn opened her mouth to reply before she quickly shut it, feeling tears prick her eyes. Mando pulled back, no doubt thinking she was rejecting the question. "I'm sorry, it's your privacy-"
She reached forward to grab hold of his hand, pulling it back towards her. "It's not that, I just..." her voice trailed and she took in a shaky breath. "I've been running for a long time. After my parents threw me out, I had no where to go. I drifted from place to place, trying to carve a life out for myself but that didn't last long. Angel's don't leave their home planets for good reason."
"Because of their beauty." Mando stated.
Bryn's grey eyes flickered up to his vison. "Because of their power."
Mando tilted his head in question. "Because of their beauty, angels have the ability to put anyone under their 'spell'. To make other's do what they desire by putting them in a sort of trance." She scrunched up her face. "Angels are beautiful on the outside, but ugly on the inside. They like manipulating others to get what they want. I always thought that was wrong but others just believed that I was weak for not using my given abilities."
