I know I said I probably wouldn't be updating for a while but I suddenly got inspired and decided to just go with it. Happy Early Christmas!!! (Or anything else you celebrate) 😊

Bryn

Bryn felt a shudder run through her as her feet hit the floor of the New Republic prison ship. Mayfeld pulled out his blasters and turned back towards them. 

"Alright, we're on the clock. The second we engage those droids, they're going to be all over us." He told them. 

"I know the drill." Mando replied stiffly.

Bryn stayed close to him. She didn't trust the group, nor the hundreds of prisoners on the ship. Mayfeld jumped back in surprise as an inmate banged against it's cage. He sneered at Xi'an's shrill laughter and scoffed.

"Alright, let's go."

Bryn's blaster felt heavy in her hand as she followed the Mayfeld. They moved down the empty corridor and she tried to avoid the wandering eyes of the prisoners. They snarled and growled as they passed, banging against the walls to try and gain their attention. 

Bryn flinched but tried to stay focused. The comforting hand of the Mandalorian on her elbow helped a bit.

Beside her, Mando was tensed, never relaxing the presence of the others. "I don't like this." 

"You were always paranoid." Xi'an said, licking her lips as she scanned him up and down.

"Is that true Mando?" Mayfeld mocked. "Were you always paranoid?" Just as the words left his lips, another inmate to his left banged violent against the bars and roared. 

Xi'an hissed at the creature and let out a high pitched laugh. 

They came to a slow as they reached an empty corridor and Bryn hid behind the wall. Mayfeld made the motion that it was clear and they continued down the hall. A small droid beeped and rolled into sight. 

It seemed harmless and Bryn let out a small sigh, slightly relaxing her tensed position.

"What?" Burg laughed. "It's just a little mousey." He moved towards the droid. "Come here little mousey."

"Burg," Mayfeld warned. 

"Mousey, come here, come here!" Burg tried to urge the thing to come nearer.

"Burg!" 

Burg growled as the droid scurried away from them and he pulled out his blaster, shooting the little object on the spot. 

"No! Burg what are you doing?" Mayfeld hissed. 

"What?"

Just as Burg began to put away his blaster, two full sized humanoid security droids came out into the open with their blasters aimed towards them. "Intruder alert. Open fire."

Bryn and Mando shot at the droids and Bryn pushed herself against a wall, concealing herself from view as more guards appeared.

"We're too exposed here!" Xi'an shouted. 

"If they get a signal out, it's not going to matter!"
