The job
A/N Hey everyone, Happy Thanksgiving. I'm trying to get in the mood of updating more but I've been so busy, (and a little lazy) Hope you enjoy this chapter. Also, It's friday so all those who watched the new Mandalorian episode, we finally a Baby Yoda name drop!!!
Bryn
Bryn was very uncomfortable. Her company made her uneasy. She didn't trust them and it was clear Mando didn't either. What made her even more uncomfortable was the fact that Mando had left her in the company of trained killers while he was in the cockpit with the droid. The murder crew watched her with beady eyes. It was unnerving.
Bryn stayed tucked away in the corner, ignoring Xi'an's burning glare. Every time Bryn would make the mistake of looking at her, the twi'lek would hiss and twirl her blade harder.
Mayfeld was the first to break the dreadful silence. He crossed his arms and titled his head. "I guess even a Mandalorian enjoys a woman's company."
Bryn said nothing. She was used to snide comments and jabs, she wouldn't give him the satisfaction of a response.
He continued, determined to get a reaction out of her. "Can't help wondering why you're with him though, must've been desperate to be with that hunk of metal."
Bryn glared at the man. "For your information, not that it's even any of your business, we're just partners."
Mayfeld raised his brow and leaned against the wall. "So your not with the tin can?"
Xi'an gave a high-pitched laugh. "As if he would even consider her, look at her." She snarled and Bryn glared back.
Mayfel smirked. "Oh, I'm looking."
Bryn rolled her eyes and found the red giant of a man playing with a key lock. Behind him Mando's weapon cabinet flew open. Burg laughed and took a step closer to the weapons.
"Those aren't yours." Bryn stated sternly but Burg only scoffed at her attempt to stop him. Just before he managed to rummage through Mando's things, Mando appeared from the cockpit.
Mando turned and pressed something on his armor which shut the cabinet. Burg grunted and snatched his hand back before it could get caught in the metal. He hit the cabinet and grunted in frustration. Grunting seemed to be the only language he knew.
Burg turned to Mando and tried to touch the controls again but Mando stopped his hand. Burg growled and the tension was so thick it could be cut with a knife.
Burg tried to shove him back but Mando was quicker and blocked his blows. Burg growled and grew uncomfortable close to Mando until they were face to face.
"Hey, hey, hey. Okay, okay, okay, I get it." Mayfeld interrupted, before things could get too far. "I'm a little particular about my personal space too, so let's just do this job. We get in, we get out and you don't have to see our faces anymore."
Bryn couldn't wait.
Burg growled. "Someone tell me why we even need a Mandalorian."
"Well apparently they're the greatest warriors in the galaxy. So they say." Mayfeld said, almost mockingly.
"They are." Bryn snapped. She was fed up with his attitude.
Burg snarled and finally pulled away from Mando. "Then why are they all dead?"
