Chapter 15

"Love, do you believe that opposites attract?" I asked him while holding two magnets.

"You're already doing it, no need for me to answer your question."

I rolled my eyes and face him. He's sitting across me while he's reading again. We are here at one of the benches at the back of the civil engineering building. Tuwing Tuesday ng hapon lang nagkakatagpo ang schedule namin, ngayon lang kami nagkasama, bukod sa lunch at uwian.

"In relationship or in between two people." I hissed. "In magnets, yes!"

"Oo naman, naniniwala ako. Just like us." I saw him smirked. My face heated so I turned my gaze away.

"Then what about birds of a feather flock together?" I asked again but this time he didn't mutter a word.

It's so confusing right? Do opposites really attract? Are people with opposite personalities or beliefs really drawn to each other? Beauty and the Beast, they are opposite, but they still drawn to each other. Ariel and her Prince, they both don't look alike. Ariel's a mermaid and her prince is a human but they ended up being together.

I used to believe that people are more attracted to those people who they share some similarities. When we asked person what is their ideal guy, some will answer, "Gusto ko lang naman ang maiintindihan ako, o magkakaintindihan kami." Well, that is true and I like that.

"I'm just wondering what is true. Opposite attracts seems like a very old culture but you're right, maybe opposites do really attract because look at us..." I smiled.

"Why are you asking?"

"Wala lang natanong ko lang. Random lang na pumasok sa isipan ko." I shrugged.

"When you're in love, there's no specific answer to the question why we are in love, or how did it happen. May mga bagay, personalidad, o paniniwala na magkatulad, mayroon ding salungat. But isn't it amazing that despite those differences two people remain in love with each other?" he said.

I'm looking at him while he's saying those things to me. Why is it looks like he's so many experiences in this kind of stuff huh? Hindi ko alam kung maniniwala ako sa kanya but hey, he's very convincing huh.

"There's no specific answer to the question why we are in love..." I echoed him.

My brows furrowed.

"Maybe it's called destiny or meant to be." he shrugged.

I chuckled, "Ang corny mo."

He frowned.

"Baka naman kasi nagayuma?" I joked and did go back to my business.
