I roll my eyes, throwing my keys down on the counter. I walk to the bathroom and set myself a bath, with bubbles and all. I take my hair out of the clip it was in, letting it fall down my back.

I walk through my apartment to get to the kitchen and pour myself a cup of juice. My phone goes off so I check it.

I go to the buzzer and see her in the camera and let her in. I go back into the bathroom turning off the running water. I walk back to the kitchen and hear a knock on the door. I unlock it and Raylee comes in then sits on my couch.

"Hey." She says crossing her legs. "Hey, you okay?" She nods. "What about you?" She asks me. "Yeah, I'm fine. I've had a long day at work. I'm going to have a bath and I'll be back." She nods and turns the TV on. "Don't take too long though, I gotta talk to you."

I walk into the bathroom stripping and get into the bath. I let out a long sigh, feeling the hot water on my skin. I close my eyes and just relax, enjoying the silence. A long while passes and my body jolts up as I hear a bang on the door.

"Lina? You good?" I sit up properly. "Yeah, I'm good. I think I drifted off." I get out of the bath, rinsing myself off quickly. I pull on my robe and go into my bedroom, putting on a t-shirt and a pair of shorts.

I walk back into the living room and sit next to Raylee on the couch. "You really shouldn't fall asleep in the tub. It's dangerous, seriously." I nod and raise my hands up. "I'm sorry, won't happen again." I clip my hair up and pull my legs up to my chest.

"So what did you want to talk about?" Raylee turns to me and pulls out her phone.

"Okay there is this thing you can sign up for. It is set up by some legit people, you get to live in a house but they have to choose who you live with." I rub my eyes.

"Okay? What are you telling me this for?" I say, looking confused. "Well I thinking that you could sign up? Please? They are matching people with rappers and singers now!" I shake my head.

"You sign up, I don't want to go." Raylee sighs.

"Erin signed up for it and I might too. The people are making her go through some safety procedures before she gets paired with someone, just to make sure everything is good. You basically live with the person for a year or so, it's like a real long experiment. You also get paid weekly and can quit anytime you feel uncomfortable. At least try it for me? Please?"

I shake my head. "No Raylee. It's a bad idea. What is Zakari going to say? I'm not living with him but I'm just going to live with some famous person? That don't make no sense." She sighs and puts her phone down.

"Can you at least think about it? You can get money out of this!" She exclaims poking my side. I slap her hand away from me and watched what was on the TV in front of me.

"So you not gonna talk to me now?" I get up from the couch and go into the kitchen, making some noodles. I sit at the table and eat my meal. Raylee comes in and sits next to me.

"Lina? Please try it?" I ignore her again and continue eating my noodles. My phone begins to ring.

Zakari is calling...

"Hey babe, you okay?"

"Yeah just being bugged by Raylee. You know the usual."

He laughs into the phone but I roll my eyes.

"What about you? Are you good?"

I hear shuffling and then he answers.

"Yeah, I'm just chilling."

I hear a door close and a girl calls his name.

"Who's that?"

I hear some more shuffling and put the phone on speaker so Raylee could hear. We could hear mumbling but couldn't make out any of the words.

"Zakari? Who the fuck is that?"

"Baby, let me call you back?"

Before I could answer, he hangs up the phone. Raylee looks at me and I put my phone down on the table. "Yo, tell me that wasn't real." I say to her covering up my face. "Okay, now lets not jump to conclusions." She says to me.

I sigh and put my bowl in the sink. "I really don't need this right now. I've had a long day." I pour myself another cup of juice and make my way back into the living room.

Raylee follows behind me, still talking about me signing up for this dumb experiment. I groan and sit down on the couch. "Ray, I love you but you are seriously starting to piss me off. I'm not going to sign up."

She flops down on the couch next to me and opens her phone. "I'm gonna send you the link, can you at least think about it?" I roll my eyes, sighing loudly. I cross my legs and look at her. "If I say yes, will you shut up?"

Raylee looks unsure at first but then nods and smiles. "Are you staying the night or driving back home?" She runs her hand through her hair and points down to the couch. "I'll stay here." I nod standing up from the couch.

"You know where the blankets and pillows are, help yourself in the kitchen. Goodnight." I say to her walking out of the room. I walk into my bedroom, putting my phone on the charger and get into bed.

My phone rings and I yell out in frustration. "I'm trying to sleep!" I pick it up and put it to my ear without looking at the name.

"Hello?"

"Lina? Baby? You okay?"

I roll my eyes and huff into the phone.

"Zakari, what do you want?"

"Woah, where is the attitude coming from?"

He says laughing.

"Who was that girl?"

There is a pause before he starts to talk again.

"My friend?"

"Why are you saying it like a question? Who the hell was that?"

He stutters a lot, struggling to speak.

"I'm not I just- Listen you sound tired. Imma let you get some sleep, aight?"

I hang up the phone and put it back on the charger. I scoff and mumble some bad words under my breath. I'm fucking sick of him acting like this. It's like he can never be faithful, like ever. I lay back down into bed and fall asleep.
