"Yeah , I'm also kind of hungry."
"Kind of !! Guy did you eat yesterday?"
I nodded my head to say no.
"Ehen then you had better eat now. No friend of mine should be starving"
"Aawn, I'm touched."
I said clutching my chest dramatically.
She eyed me playfully.
"See this one , you think it's because I care about you ehn? It's not that one oh so just don't deceive yourself. I only want you to have enough strength for my wahala."
I laughed. "So you know you have wahala"
The way we were chattering , you would not belief we had just met last night.
When we reached the cafeteria, she gestured for me to follow her.
"Today we are having jellof rice and fried chicken.That's what the school uses to entice it's new students every new term,it's only us that are not new students that know the school's tricks."
I nodded as If what she was saying had to entered my head.
I was too busy staring at the mouth watering food that i didn't even realize that she had been calling my name since .
"Aramide ,Aramide,Aramide."
When I finally looked at her , she had an angry look.
" Shey you know I've been calling you since ."
"Sorry,what were you saying?"
"Hian!! I said get a plate and take your food."
My eyes widened in disbelief.
"They let us take our food ourselves ?"
"Yeah, what's surprising about that?" She laughed.
Of course, she wouldn't understand what surprised me.
I had heard stories of how students were served little or no food at boarding schools and here they were letting us take as much as we want.
"Don't worry about it."
I said getting a plate to serve my food.
I didn't take as much as I expected myself to take.
I guess it was because I didn't want her to see me as a foodie.
She took her own food and walked to a table in the dinning hall.
The table had three chairs on each side.
I sat next to her and put my plate down to eat.
