The campus was filled with students from all different schools and I thought to myself if I would be able to find her.
My venue was near to the canteen. It was filled with students when the competition began, and as I started playing I wished she would be there among the crowd.
As I was about to finish playing the guitar I saw her coming to the front amidst the crowd, with her two friends, I couldn't stop myself from looking at her and my cheeks turned red. It felt to me that even she was looking at me, our eyes met for a brief moment, and then she told something to her friends.
I wonder if it was about me. She left the hall immediately and I kept looking at her through the crowd, she turned back for a moment and then walked away. I tried looking for her again after my event. But couldn't find her. Maybe she left, I thought to myself.
Having nothing else to do, I cycled back home. All the excitement I had in the morning vanished. It was like, I had waited for the day for so long, but it was not as eventful as it was in my mind.
Shattered hopes bring pain, I thought to myself.
