MONTAGE: Booker drives as fast as he can down HWY 64 with Texas Highway Patrol far behind him. Buford starts passing some of the state troopers and flips one of them off as he does.
STATE TROOPER
(through C.B.)
What the hell is Canton P.D. doing here?
BUFORD B. JUSTICE
This is a high-speed pursuit, I'm well within regulation.
STATE TROOPER
(through C.B.)
We've got this P.D., you can head back to your jurisdiction.
BUFORD B. JUSTICE
Head back to my— I am third generation law enforcement Chief Buford Bo Justice, grandson to the late and great Buford T. Justice of Texarkana, Texas, and I will not be pushed around by state payroll highway jockeys. You're welcome to join me on my pursuit, gentlemen, but you will respect my authority and stay the hell outta my way!

STATE TROOPER
(through C.B.)

BUFORD B. JUSTICE

The state troopers move to the side allowing Buford to speed past them.
